What is the origin of "Colorful Clouds"?
The scientific name of the seven-colored cloud is "rainbow-shaped cloud", which is a natural phenomenon of the southern summer. In the development of cumulus or cumulonimbus clouds, if there is a high level of humidity above the cloud top, the water vapor at this level will be driven uplifted by the updraft of the cloud body and condensed on the top of the cloud, like the "turban" of cumulus clouds, hence the name yun. When the sun's altitude angle is right, it is diffracted by cold water droplets or ice crystals to form a colorful glow.
