On February 9, Pan Zhenghuan, secretary of the Lianzhou Municipal Party Committee, led a team to Xingzi Town to investigate, take the pulse of local development, and promote the revitalization and development of the ancient town. On the same day, Pan Zhenghuan went deep into Tanling Tianhu, Huangshatang Village, and Huantian Lake to investigate and visit, and successively went to Xingzi Millennium Ancient Street to investigate local history and culture, and inspected ancient buildings and cultural relics such as Ancient Street, Fuxing Bridge, Tongzhifu, Bayi Guild Hall, and Chu Nan Guild Hall.

Xingzi Town has a long history, first formed in the Spring and Autumn Warring States period, as a commercial port has a history of more than 1400 years, is the central plains and Lingnan economic and cultural exchange link. In modern times, Xingzibu has become the main distribution center for salt for the people in the prefectures and counties of northwestErn Guangdong and southern Hunan Province, and trade has flourished.
In order to enhance the landscape of the township, Xingzi launched the township transformation and upgrading project (Phase I) in October 2021. Up to now, the tong prefect, the "two streets" (Fuxing Street, Xintang Street), the "three bridges" (Fuxing Bridge, Pig Boy Bridge, Dashuibian Bridge), the "two pavilions" (Chu Nan Guild Hall, Bayi Guild Hall), the ancient opera stage and other projects are nearing the end, the antique shops and houses along the street, the big red lanterns hanging high, the re-laid bluestone pavement, so that the old street of the millennium ancient town has been renewed, reshaping the prosperity of the thousand-year-old town of Red Xingzi "Guangdong Salt Ancient Port", and becoming the "punching point" of the masses during this year's Spring Festival.
Pan Zhenghuan affirmed the effectiveness of the transformation and upgrading project of Xingzi Town. He believes that Xingzi Town has a profound historical and cultural heritage, rich and diversified tourism resources, and is still a commercial and trade center in the surrounding areas for hundreds of years, and the infrastructure construction of the township is better; in the future, it is necessary to adapt to local conditions and give play to the advantages of resources, build the ancient street along the banks of the river into a new commercial center, strengthen and revitalize the commercial and trade undertakings; and combine the town transformation project to develop 2 to 3 boutique small real estate in the township area, which not only meets the needs of the masses for a better home, but also further enhances the functions and landscape of the township.
Tanling Tianhu Lake has beautiful scenery, excellent ecology and unique landscape, attracting many Pearl River Delta tourists to taste fruits, enjoy snow and sightseeing every year. Pan Zhenghuan proposed that Xingzi Town should make good use of this unique tourism resource, introduce powerful large enterprises to plan the development and protection of Tanling Tianhu Lake, and build it into a snow-watching scenic spot in Lianzhou and become a new tourist flashpoint in Lianzhou.
