China Aviation News Network News: According to Jane's Defense reported on February 9, the US Air Force issued a request for information (RFI) to replace its aging Boeing E-3G early warning aircraft, and the prototype is expected to be deployed by 2028.
According to reports, the information request indicates that a completely new solution will replace the U.S. Air Force's 31 E-3G AWACS aircraft, which was previously selected as the Boeing E-7A AWACS aircraft. The project calls for the delivery of at least two production-representative prototypes, including ground support and training systems, within five years starting in fiscal year 2023.
