Italian police seized large quantities of ammunition, including an air-to-air missile, in northern Italy during operations against far-right groups. Police described the operation as "rare in history."

According to Singapore's Lianhe Zaobao, on July 15, the Italian police announced that after the police investigated Italy's far-right forces in many places in the north, the troops searched for the 3.54-meter-long, well-performing French-made air-to-air missile in the hangar of an airport in the north, which was also used by the Qatari army.

Fabop Del Bergiolo, a suspect with ties to a far-right party, intends to sell the missile for 470,000 euros. Police said the missiles do not contain explosives, but weapons experts can reassemble them.

Dozens of rifles, pistols, bayonets and batons were also seized during the operation, as well as hundreds of gun accessories, including silencers, rifle scopes and over 800 cartridges, mainly from Austria, Germany and the United States. Police also found Nazi collectibles.

During the operation, police arrested 3 men, including a former Senate candidate from a neo-Nazi party.
