Qilu Network Lightning News On October 19, Weifang Youran Animal Husbandry (Binhai) 10,000 Cows High Yield Demonstration Ranch Project is located in the north of Zomaling Village, Yangzi Street, Binhai District, Weifang City, and the first batch of 3,500 Holstein cows from New Zealand have been successfully introduced into the pen. At the project site, dozens of trucks full of cows slowly drove into the farm, and after disinfecting the delivery vehicles, the number of cows was counted and the cows were driven into the pen.
It is understood that the first phase of the project covers a total area of 1,595 acres, with the construction of a demonstration farm of 12,000 high-yield dairy cows, and the overall construction progress has been completed by 86%. The forage area was fully completed; the lactation area was completed; the reserve area was 31%complete; the office living area was 61% complete; and the remaining subsidiary monomers were 42% complete. The overall planning of the breeding scale of the project is 24,000 heads, and the project is built in two phases, the first phase of 12,000 heads is ready for cattle, and the second phase of 12,000 heads is completed before the end of 2022. The project will build new barns, milking parlors, management houses, hay sheds, silage cellars, concentrate depots, relevant functional buildings in the manure treatment area and other auxiliary engineering facilities.
Wang Lei, chief of the agricultural section of the Agricultural and Rural Management Center of Binhai District, told reporters that the next step will be to speed up the construction speed of the second phase of the project contract signing, the demolition of high-voltage poles, transportation roads, bridges and culverts, etc., coordinate and solve problems encountered in the construction process in a timely manner, and ensure that the project is carried out in an orderly manner according to the planned time node. After the completion of the entire project, the direct employment of about 200 people will be increased, which has also laid a good foundation for the high-quality development of the agricultural industry in the coastal area.
