Higgins scored a 3-100 to eliminate Hussein Wafi 6-3 to advance. Jimmy Robertson will then compete with Higgins for a place in the semi-finals.

Luca Brechel was completely out of shape during the game, shooting just one 50+ in the game. He won the first set with a single 88 points, taking the lead, but in the next few sets, he fell off a cliff. Higgins started with a 2-0 draw against Hussein Wafi in the first round of the Players' Championship, but from the third inning, Higgins gradually regained his touch. In the eighth inning, Higgins scored 108 points and kept a 108-0 clean sheet for Waffy to make it 5-3. In the ninth inning, Higgins scored 35 points to interrupt the offense, but Wafi failed to take advantage of the opportunity. Higgins then won the match 106-10 through multiple starts, and advanced to the next round 6-3.
