At 8:30 a.m. on October 10, the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster Were already very lively. Tourists continue to flock around the "Flower Fairy" three-dimensional flower bed built to welcome the 15th Meeting of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15). The "aunt group" who took pictures together, the children who rode on their father's shoulders and watched curiously, and the backpackers who came from other places came to see the "flower fairy" and took a group photo.
In the bustling crowd, a team stands out. More than a dozen elderly people dressed in Yi costumes danced the Yi left-foot dance under the Golden Horse Arch. Stepping on the melody played with the moon piano, the old man hummed the tune while dancing, and his face was intoxicated.

The reporter learned that this group of elderly people are over 70 years old, and one of the oldest members is 92 years old. Most of the old people have snow-white hair, but they have spirits, and their eyes are bright and energetic. After retirement, they spontaneously get together to dance, whether it is windy or rainy, and come to the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster every morning for an hour. It is worth mentioning that the homes of several elderly people are not close to here. Aged, the legs and feet may no longer be as sharp as the young people, and the old man still insists on coming. Grandma Li is 82 years old and commutes for two hours a day just to dance a left-foot dance with the old guys.
Grandma Liu is a newcomer to the team. A year ago, I happened to see someone dancing a Yi dance and playing a Yi musical instrument, and Grandma Liu was suddenly attracted: "I am also a Yi, and I can't do it, so I want to learn along." After more than a year of study, Grandma Liu is now a "musician" in the team.
Li Hu is the leader and manager of this old man's dance team, 81 years old. According to Grandpa Li Hu, this spontaneous team has experienced twenty years of wind, frost, snow and rain, and there are 84 people in the team at the most, and now there are 15 to 30 people who come to dance every day. Grandpa Li Hu set two rules: the first is to maintain environmental hygiene, and no garbage is allowed when leaving; the second is not to put on the stereo, and to play the original musical instrument - the Yi Yueqin. He said: "I am of the Yi ethnic group, and many people in the team are also of the Yi ethnic group, and we not only want to strengthen our bodies through dancing, but also spread the original Yi culture." ”
Grandpa Li Hu has been retired for many years and still cares about current affairs, and reading newspapers is another hobby of Grandpa Li Hu. Grandpa Li Hu told reporters that "15 elephants let the world know about Kunming, Yunnan. Yunnan is the 'kingdom of plants and animals', and we must continue to promote the concept of loving the ecology." We also sincerely invite friends from all over the world to travel to Yunnan and feel the biodiversity of Yunnan! ”
