As of February 9, key cities across the country have released 2021 economic operation data (with the exception of a few exceptions). Puhua Strategy conducted statistics on the economic operation data of the National Bureau of Urban Statistics, and the results showed:
1) There are 2 cities with a GDP of 4 trillion yuan, namely Shanghai and Beijing.
2) There are 6 cities with a GDP of more than 2 trillion yuan, in addition to Shanghai and Beijing, the others are Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Suzhou, and Chengdu is only one step away from 2 trillion yuan;
3) There are 24 cities with a GDP of more than 1 trillion yuan, in addition to the above 6 cities of 2 trillion yuan, the other 18 cities are Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, Tianjin, Ningbo, Qingdao, Wuxi, Changsha, Zhengzhou, Foshan, Jinan, Hefei, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Nantong, Dongguan and Xi'an.
Top 100 national urban GDP in 2021 (Note: excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), as follows:
In 2021, Jiangsu Province has the largest number of top 100 cities in the country's urban GDP, and its 13 prefectures and cities are among the top 100; followed by 11 in Shandong; then 10 in Guangdong, 8 in Zhejiang, and 7 in Henan.
