Guizhou Daily Tianyan news reporter Shang Yujie

"Thank you very much, I will cherish this special gift from the Beijing Winter Olympic Village." Recently, Beijing Winter Olympic Village and Yanqing Winter Olympic Village presented fire-painted gourds and Tang dolls as gifts to Juan Antonio Samaranch, member of the International Olympic Committee and chairman of the Coordination Committee of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games of the International Olympic Committee, and Samaranch sincerely thanked him.

Among them, the Tang dolls were produced by students of the Tang Renfang Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance College of Guizhou Shenghua Vocational College. Qin Zhenzheng, deputy dean of the College of Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance of Tang Renfang, introduced that all Tang dolls are handmade, and it takes hundreds of processes to complete a doll. Tang dolls are ethnic handicrafts and will be included in the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative projects in 2021.

"I am very honored to contribute to the Beijing Winter Olympics, and I hope that all the participating athletes will enjoy them." Student Wu Jinmei said excitedly that these works were made in Huishui County, and a total of 9 people in her class participated in them, and everyone worked together to complete the works.

The reporter learned that in 2011, in order to inherit and carry forward the unique folk crafts of ethnic minorities in Guizhou and systematically collect and sort out the cultural products of ethnic minorities in Guizhou, Guizhou Shenghua Vocational College cooperated with Beijing Tangrenfang Cultural Development Co., Ltd. to establish the Tangrenfang Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance College, and in 2012 created the "National Costume Museum". Since the autumn of 2012, the college has opened a major of "Tourism Handicraft Design and Production", which mainly cultivates compound talents who can not only engage in product design, but also practice in the first line of production, and provide high-quality talents for the cultural tourism market in Guizhou and even the whole country. At present, nearly 300 high-quality skilled personnel have been trained for the society.
