On February 9, the Chinese Volleyball Association once again announced the list of 30 people in the 2022 National Men's Volleyball Elite Training Camp. Judging from the list, the training camp, led by national team coach Wu Sheng, began training in Beijing on February 18 for a period of one month and ended on March 20.
The players selected for the training camp are: Beijing men's volleyball team Jiang Chuan, Zhang Binglong, Wang Dongchen, Deng Xinpeng; Tianjin men's volleyball team Yuan Dangyi and Zhai Haonan; Shanghai men's volleyball team Guo Cheng, Qu Zongshuai, Wu Yizhi, Lu Tiancheng; Jiangsu men's volleyball team Yang Tianyuan, Yu Yuantai, Yu Yaochen, Xu Jiaxing; Zhejiang men's volleyball team Zhang Jingyin, Li Yongzhen, Yang Yiming, Zhang Guanhua, Chen Leijiao, Liu Haonan; Shandong men's volleyball team Liu Meng, Wang Jingyi, Zhai Dejun, Li Lei, Xue Jinhao; Henan men's volleyball team Jiang Zhengyang, Yuan Tongzheng; Hubei men's volleyball team Miao Ruantong; Guangdong men's volleyball team Wang Hebin Sichuan men's volleyball team Chen Xilong. From the list point of view, the Zhejiang men's volleyball team became the biggest winner, a total of 6 players were shortlisted, in addition to Zhang Jingyin, Li Yongzhen, Yang Yiming, Zhang Guanhua, Chen Leijiao, the young general Liu Haonan entered the national team vision for the first time; followed by the Shandong men's volleyball team with 5 finalists, Beijing, Shanghai and Jiangsu 4 each selected, Henan, Tianjin 2 players each, Hubei, Guangdong and Sichuan only 1 person joined the elite training camp.
This list is actually not much different from the previous list of the Chinese men's volleyball team preparing for the Asian Championship, except for Peng Shikun, who played in the Japanese league, who failed to join the training camp, the rest of the players were all selected. To the fans' regret, Beijing men's ranking player Liu Libin and Shanghai men's ranking player Zhang Zhejia did not qualify for the training camp. The reason why the two players missed the training camp was because they were plagued by injuries.
In the training camp, in addition to observing several regulars, Wu Sheng is also expected to examine players who enter the national team for the first time, such as Xue Jinhao, Yuan Tongzheng, Xu Jiaxing and Lu Tiancheng, to determine their strength and potential. The Chinese men's volleyball team will face challenges at the Hangzhou Asian Games and the World Championships in 2022. For the team, the Asian Games at home are still aiming to win the cards, and the World Championships are holding a learning attitude.
