According to Wizards reporter Quinton Mayo, a number of sources in the league revealed that Wizards general manager Shepard has had several trade discussions with the Hawks about John Collins.

According to previous sources, Collins has publicly stated that he is disappointed with the role he played in the team's attack.

So far this season, Collins has made 49 appearances for the Hawks, averaging 17 points, 8 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.1 blocks per game.
