With completely independent intellectual property rights - China's first snow wax car debuted at the Winter Olympics

Many people may hear the three words "snow wax car" and do not know what it is. It is a veritable "big man" with a large body area of up to 92.5 square meters; it is "highly skilled", and all kinds of supporting facilities in the car can realize 5G and 8K all-media transmission.

At this Winter Olympics, the first snow wax car with completely independent intellectual property rights in the mainland was unveiled, breaking the long-term monopoly of the field by foreign countries.

What is the use of snow wax carts? "Waxing snowboards is an integral part of the Winter Olympics snow sports. Waxing is important for the maintenance of the snowboard, especially for speeding up the skiing. The snow wax truck is a place for waxers to work, rest, and even live. In countries where ice and snow sports are developed, they basically have their own snow wax vehicles to ensure the competition needs of athletes. It can be said that a snow wax car is like a "combat command" during the race, providing a full range of services and guarantees for athletes, coaches and waxers.

In the past, the mainland has been blank in the field of snow wax vehicles, and athletes mostly use the temporary waxing room provided by the organizing committee when participating in the competition. In order to allow mainland athletes to use their own snow wax vehicles in the Beijing Winter Olympics, Shandong Province set up a joint research headquarters for snow wax vehicles on November 6, 2020, and the Shandong Sports Industry Group, together with the Winter Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sport and the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Department, Taishan Group and other relevant departments and units, began the development and research of snow wax vehicles under the unified deployment and scheduling of the command.

When the project was first launched, due to the strict confidentiality of the relevant technologies by foreign countries and the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the mainland R&D personnel could not see the physical objects, and the project was greatly challenged to advance. Gao Aidong told reporters that the Shandong Sports Industry Group has preliminarily formulated a design plan after collecting a large amount of relevant data and information on snow wax vehicles, as well as the opinions of athletes and waxers, and continues to advance in exploration.

Before each race, meticulous waxing of the athlete's snowboard is the most important task of the waxer on the snow wax truck workbench. In the process of research and development, Taishan Group actively docked with domestic universities and scientific research institutions to jointly develop key technologies such as snowboard forming technology, snowboard bottom material, ice knife coating, etc., and comprehensively improved the technical content of snowboard. At the same time, the application research of snow wax in different forms in various scenarios has been carried out to effectively improve the scientific and technological level of the mainland in the fields of winter sports and high-end sports technology and sports equipment.

In addition to the research and development of snow wax technology, Taishan Group has also targeted the snow wax vehicle equipped with a variety of international leading high-end intelligent equipment, including public health epidemic prevention and killing machine, carbon fiber mountain bike, rowing ski trainer, etc. Through the equipping of intelligent sports equipment, we will create an integrated, intelligent and all-scenario mode.

According to reports, the first snow wax car in China not only has completely independent intellectual property rights, but also declared 81 patents and 24 technological breakthroughs, including 21 invention patents. The snow wax truck tractor adopts the world's leading and independently developed Sinotruk New Yellow River heavy truck, and the power system comes from Weichai hydrogen fuel cell system to ensure the operation of the vehicle under low temperature and extreme cold conditions.

After 11 months of development, the first snow wax truck was delivered on October 27, 2021. On November 2 of the same year, the snow wax car rushed to Chongli, Shanghai and other places in Hebei Province, and began the run-in stage of training and competition with the national cross-country ski team before the Winter Olympics. Today, wherever the National Cross-Country Ski Team goes, snow wax cars follow. From the perspective of the use effect, the domestic snow wax car has overcome problems such as bad weather and long distance, and provided a good guarantee for the Chinese national team.
