On February 7, component supplier Faurecia completed the acquisition of a 79.5% stake in another supplier, Hella, for a total of €5.3 billion, including cash and shares. The new group, named FORVIA, became the world's seventh-largest automotive supplier.

Faurecia said it is now the controlling shareholder of HELLA, which will continue to be a public company with its own independent governing body and will be fully credited to Faurecia's finances from February 1, 2022. The new group, FORVIA, will have a total of six business units – Interiors, Seats, Automotive Electronics, Green Mobility, Lighting and Lifecycle Solutions.
WITH MORE THAN 300 INDUSTRIAL SITES AND 77 R&D CENTERS IN MORE THAN 40 COUNTRIES, WITH A TOTAL OF 150,000 EMPLOYEES, INCLUDING MORE THAN 35,000 ENGINEERS, FORVIA WILL HAVE 6 BUSINESS GROUPS AND 24 PRODUCT LINES. According to the plan, the combined FORVIA Group aims to have sales of more than 33 billion euros, an operating margin of more than 8.5% and a net cash flow of about 1.75 billion euros in 2025
According to the information disclosed by the two sides, FORVIA Group plans to accelerate its business growth in Asia and provide more products for electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles. By 2025, the Group's internal combustion engine-related business will be reduced to around 10% of its sales.
