At about 21:30 on March 6, 1999, Yang Tianyong, Yang Mingcai, Teng Diandong, and Zuo Shuguang drove a mini-car, dressed in police uniforms, with Yang Tianyong carrying a "Seven.Seven" pistol, and Teng Diandong and Zuo Shuguang carrying handcuffs to look for the target of the crime in the Kunming Pass area. On the road outside the east gate of the Kunming Fair, they found a car parked on the side of the road by the Duke of Nissan, Yang Tianyong pretended to be a policeman on duty to knock on the car door in the name of inspection, Teng Diandong and Zuo Shuguang involuntarily handcuffed Wu Feng and Geng Qiongxian in the car, and drove the two hostage to the no. 326 explosives warehouse in Cannabis Village, Ala Township, the eastern suburbs of Kunming. Overnight, the Duke of Nissan's sedan was driven to the north by Teng Diandong and Zuo Shuguang to sell the stolen goods (when passing through the Damaoya checkpoint of the traffic police brigade in Zhenba County, Shaanxi Province, they were detained due to incomplete driving procedures, and the two escaped back to Kunming on the pretext of taking the formalities), and Yang Tianyong and Yang Mingcai began to commit heinous crimes. That night, Yang Mingcai raped Geng Qiongxian, and then Yang Mingcai held down this woman, Yang Tianyong choked her neck, strangled her alive, and found several large sticks to beat Wu Feng, who was handcuffed to death on the steel cover. Yang Tianyong locked the warehouse door and went to sleep. After getting up at 8 o'clock in the morning, Yang Mingcai asked how to deal with the corpse, Yang Tianyong said that he had cut it, Yang Mingcai said", "There is no wholeness, do not dare to cut", so when Yang Tianyong's hands found a machete and an axe, Yang Tianyong decomposed the body piece by piece, and Yang Mingcai put the corpse piece into a pot to cook... The meat is fed to pigs and dogs in the refrigerator for two weeks.
Of the 19 people they killed, 11 were destroyed in the same way by this group of dehumanizing murderers.
One afternoon after the case was solved, the reporter came to the Yangfangwo gas supply station of the Kunming Railway Liquefied Gas Company located at the railway intersection rented by Yang Tianyong, only to see that the iron door was closed tightly and the inside was a mess. At the Haigeng training ground, they found a Changhe van parked, Yang Tianyong shined a flashlight on the inside of the car, the window opened, and Yang Tianyong, who was twisting a pistol, said: "We are the anti-drug team, what are you doing here?" Please present your ID for inspection. Wang Xiaoxiang (female), a municipal anti-narcotics policeman sitting in the car, said: "We are also anti-narcotics." Later, the case was identified as Wang Xiaoxiang's husband, Du Peiwu, a police officer at the Municipal Drug Rehabilitation Center, who suspected that his wife Wang Xiaoxiang and Wang Junbo had an improper sexual relationship, and killed people with a grudge in their hearts. On February 5, 1999, Du was sentenced to death by the Kunming Intermediate People's Court for intentional homicide. Du Peiwu was not satisfied, and appealed to the Yunnan Provincial High People's Court on the grounds that "there was no murder, the public security tortured to extract a confession, the facts were unclear, and the evidence was insufficient", and the provincial high court issued a second-instance judgment in October 1999 on the basis of several doubts in the case, revoking the kunming intermediate court's sentencing part of Du Peiwu, upholding the conviction part of the judgment, and sentencing Du Peiwu to death with a two-year suspension of execution. Du Peiwu, who escaped death, was sent to prison. (After the Yang Tianyong case was solved, Du Peiwu has now been acquitted and released.)
One of the biggest criminal characteristics of Yang Tianyong's criminal gang is the arbitrariness of killing people.
On June 9, 1998, Yang Mingcai and Teng Diandong carried "Seven.Seven" pistols, handcuffs, etc., and drove a public security van to Yuxi to play. On the way back to Kunming in the evening, when passing through Jincheng Town, Jinning County, he saw a woman walking on the side of the road, and Teng Diandong shouted "Hello" and parked the car on the side of the road. More than 10 minutes later, this Guizhou lady named Wang Fen was pinched to death by Teng Diandong, and the body was thrown by Yang and Teng in a ditch on the side of the road. Before throwing the body away, Yang Mingcai searched the bag that the young lady was carrying, which contained only a tape, a lipstick, a comb, a small mirror, an ID card and a dime.
Yang Tianyong's last killing spree was on May 31 this year, and they were increasingly unscrupulous this time targeting a Mercedes-Benz sedan with a military license plate.
At about midnight that morning, Zhu Kun, a police officer of the Wuhua Branch of the Kunming City Public Security Bureau, and his friend Wang Yuanfu drove a black Mercedes-Benz S320 car out to run errands, and when they drove to the fork of the refrigerator factory on the Shi'an Highway, Yang Tianyong, who was already waiting here, stared at them.
Yang Tianyong quietly followed the car and dialed his mobile phone to inform Teng Diandong, an accomplice who was "on duty" in front: "We are coming, black!" (A pre-agreed code word meaning to block this black Mercedes).
As the Mercedes approached the Dashiba toll booth, it was stopped by Teng Diandong and Zuo Shuguang, who were dressed in police uniforms: "We are the anti-narcotics team, and we are now conducting a routine inspection. A few minutes later, the Mercedes-Benz car drove out of the gas supply station, Teng Diandong and Zuo Shuguang drove it to Guiyang, at this time, the Mercedes-Benz car had been sold by Yang Tianyong for 120,000 yuan, and the delivery place was Guiyang.

After the interrogation, Yang Tianyong and Yang Mingcai found a rope to strangle Zhu Kun and Wang Yuanfu to death, and Yang Tianyong immediately drove to Guiyang to join Teng Diandong, who had gone to sell cars, leaving Yang Mingcai to dispose of the body.

On March 19, 1999, Xiao Lin and others, dressed in police uniforms, carried "Seven.Seven" pistols and handcuffs and abducted businessman Li Shuangquan and his dark green six-cylinder Mitsubishi to the village of Cannabis, and Xiao Lin telephoned Yang Tianyong, who personally interrogated Li Shuangquan. After that, Li Shuangquan was strangled to death and dismembered. Yang Tianyong interrogated and made a record of Li Yapeng, general manager of Yunnan Huitian Decoration Company, businessman Wang Chunsuo, police officer Zhu Kun, veteran Wang Yuanfu, and Driver Feng Yi of the Yunnan Provincial Nationalities Commission.
At the Kunming Intermediate People's Court trial court on October 18, the defender asked Yang Tianyong why he wanted to take notes on the victims, Yang Tianyong said that it was to evade the blow, and Xiao Lin said that Yang Tianyong made the record to get the materials of the official and grasp the social situation.
Crime: Start with buying a gun
This criminal group originated in 1994. Xiao Lin (also known as Xia Bin), who grew up in Yunnan and returned to the northeast, fled to Yunnan after Jiamusi defrauded 1 million yuan, and on the train, Xiao Lin heard the news of his classmate Yang Tianyong and knew that Yang Tianyong was working as a police officer at the Kunming Railway Bureau East Station Police Station. Because he felt that "Yang Tianyong and I are all the way", Xiao Lin contacted Yang Tianyong as soon as he arrived in Kunming, and the two met that night, and the next day, Yang Tianyong took Xiao Lin to eat at home, and from then on, the two began to "be together all day".
In order to test Yang Tianyong, Xiao Lin deliberately told Yang Tianyong, who was a policeman, about his fraud in Jiamusi, and the two of them tacitly agreed from then on.
In early 1995, Xiao Lin met his compatriot Teng Diandong when he was hospitalized in the Air Force Hospital. Xiao Lin was using a fake military id card at that time, his name was Xia Bin, the rank of major, and he saw Teng Diandong as a soldier.
In April and May 1995, after Yang Tianyong and Xiao Lin conspired, Yang Tianyong went to Pingyuan Street to buy a gun, "wanting to do something terrible to retaliate against society and the government."
In early 1997, Xiao Lin recruited Xiao Li, Chai Guoli, Zuo Shuguang, and Teng Diandong, and Yang Tianyong called his compatriot Yang Mingcai to "officially start committing crimes", with the goal of robbing cars.
Before snatching the car, Yang Tianyong asked Xiao Lin to take his men out to kill people to practice his courage, and he provided Xiao Lin and others with the grenades, daggers and his own jeep that he had hidden when he was demobilized. On April 6, 1997, Xiao Lin led Teng Diandong and Chai Guoli to find the target of the crime in Kunming City. At about 2 p.m., the three found a police Jeep parked in the Chunyuan community, and the driver, Yang Weidong, was sorting out items in the back seat. Xiao Lin and Chai Guoli went up to open the car door, Xiao Lin smashed Yang Weidong unconscious with a grenade, Chai Guoli and Xiao Lin stabbed Yang Weidong to death with a dagger, and then Xiao Lin drove the car and abandoned it in the parking lot of Wuhua Stadium.
Since it was the first time to kill people, after the completion of the work, Chai Guoli and others were "in a trance and their hearts were very confused", Yang Tianyong asked Xiao Lin, Chai Guoli, and Teng Diandong to bring the stolen 20,000 yuan to Dali to relax.

In order to make his men not afraid of killing, Yang Tianyong also took his men to the Kunming cremation site to see the dead and see how the corpses turned into ashes, "to enhance their psychological endurance."
