author:Love nagging tables

Back in the early 2000s, Mühle-Glashütte began talking to the crew and pilots of the DGzRS rescue ship, asking them what watches they wanted. In February 2002, the company delivered its first watches.

Getting a SAR Rescue Timer is to have a watch that will withstand all kinds of harsh environments and it will make you feel at ease.

In the 20 years since 2002 (more than 10,000 watches sold), SAR has proven itself in countless rescue missions, so Mühle-Glashütte celebrates this outstanding achievement with a limited edition of 18 k gold.

The gold version of this SAR Rescue is a little more upscale than its stainless steel predecessor. Its middle part is made of 18k polished gold weighing 70 grams. The dial is matte black with white luminous markings and scales. Pointers - also gold (although gold-plated - pure gold hands may be too large to turn effectively). The gold and black contrast makes the dial clear at a glance.

The sapphire glass covering the dial is up to 4 mm thick, the same as two coins. Again, the bezel is stainless steel, but covered with black shock-absorbing natural rubber. The purpose of this is to protect the watch from impact, as well as to protect the side of the case from impact. The other components of the 42 mm case match. Screw-in stainless steel caseback painted with black PVD, screw-in crown and four screws on the strap bar. The bracelet clasp is also stainless steel with a durable diamond-like carbon coating (DLC). All in all, the watch is water-resistant to 100 bar. It's very practical and efficient.

The movement is a reliable SW 200-1 automatic movement, but Mühle adds their own patented woodpecker neck adjuster, their own oscillating weight and some fairly intelligent finishes. The second hand, which corrects the date immediately, has a 41-hour power reserve function. In fact, Mühle-Glashütte says, "Complex adjustments based on observatory standards ensure optimum precision." We adjust each watch to a daily error of 0 to up to 8 seconds. ”
