Renqiu Drum originated from the Ming Dynasty Wanli Period, more than 400 years ago, the drum was originally used to resist foreign invasion, boost morale. Now, beating the big drum has become the most traditional way for the people of Renqiu to express their joy after the New Year's Festival and the agricultural harvest.

The Renqiu drum is obviously different from the drums in other regions, and its obvious characteristics are: One is a big one. Generally, the diameter of the drum is about 2 meters, made of whole yellow cow leather, with more than 1600 iron nails, which can be beaten by 8 to 10 people at the same time; the second is that the drum is thick. When the drum beats, the sound is like a lion roaring and the dragon groaning, and the momentum is like a thousand horses running in unison; the third is properly coordinated. When the drum enters the state, it is accompanied by traditional folk instrumental music such as cymbals, cymbals, bells and bells, which further highlights the thunder rhyme, majestic feelings, unrestrained interest and overall beauty of the drums.
