Directors Damiano and Fabio are brothers.
"Bad Story" was nominated for the Golden Bear award at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival and won the Silver Bear Award for Best Screenplay.
Their "Latin America" they directed last year was nominated for the Golden Lion at the 78th Venice Film Festival.
The actor is Italian actor Elio Germano.

The story begins with a diary.

Halfway through the diary, he couldn't hold back and decided to continue writing the rest himself.

In a relative's house, the director accomplished his purpose of blending real and fictional stories.
Because at the beginning and the end, the TV reported the same family murder.
A young couple drowned their children in a bathtub and then committed suicide by jumping off a building.
Life is always made up of a series of disasters, which the director says is a "rotten story" he has made up.
In the end, we find out that this is a bad story, and what really rots is life itself.
