In terms of time, Hirata's admission has been consistent with my calculations above - that is, entering school in 1934, graduating in 1938 four years later, and returning to his alma mater as a major after 5 years, that is, 1943, and his promotion speed can be described as a rocket. At that time, except for a very few outstanding lucky people in history, I am afraid that only the royal family who served in the military could compare with it.

In addition, Hirata's chest also appeared for the first time:

Note that Sagawa's "three-year study" here also reflects the constant changes in the school system of the Edajima Naval Academy. In the early days, the three-year school system was extended to four years, and as Japan's foreign wars continued to expand, the school system began to shrink, and finally it was even only two years and four months.

Yamamoto's handwritten book", "Always on the Battlefield", is also his famous motto, which probably means "Do not slacken your heart as if you were on the battlefield at any time and at any time."

"Always on the battlefield" is one of the styles of nagaoka domain, and the Yamamoto family is born as a nagaoka clan. Although the top brass of the navy has always been controlled by the Western Army clans of sacho and the two clans, Yamamoto Isoroku has never forgotten that he is from the famous clan of the Eastern Army, so he has always taken the Nagaoka clan as his motto.

There is an interpretation of this conversation between President Iguchi and Hirata, who are currently training a group of students who, although most of them could not become naval officers after the war, had a good education in literature and martial arts and knew English. Japan's future depends on them. As long as they are there, Japan will make a comeback even if it is defeated.

Compared with the army's primitive rudeness and ignorance, the empty patriotic enthusiasm is actually harmful to Japan, while the navy has a deeper contact with modern civilization, is friendly to the West, and is more rational. After the war, Japan accepted the lessons of the defeat in World War II, the values of the old Army were abandoned, while the Navy's pragmatic values toward Britain and the United States were implemented, and they were once again integrated into the civilized world.

In real history, in the aftermath of the war, Inoue was acquitted by the U.S. occupation authorities for his anti-war (especially against war with the United States), but he was not as active in business circles and the new government as other old army generals, but made a living by running English tuition classes.

“...... Now that English is an indispensable tool for our next generation to stand in the world, I am doing this to atone for my sins..." Perhaps this shot of the movie also refers to Inoue's testimonial.

Before setting out, Hirata left his Emperor's Imperial Sword to the school's Education Reference Hall and attached his name tag.

Historically, if Hirata had really graduated in the sixty-fifth term, he would have been the last batch of four-year students, and the school system from the sixty-sixth term was shortened to three years and eight months, and the later ones became shorter and shorter.

In addition to the related exhibits of Heihachiro Togo and Isoro Yamamoto, photographs of Takeo Hirose and photocopies of Tsutomu Sakuma's will appear in the footage. Takeo Hirose was killed at the age of 36 during the Second Lushun Port Blockade Operation in the Russo-Japanese War when he was killed in search and rescue of his subordinate Sugino Sunchi. He was posthumously honored as a god of war for his bushido spirit and courage.

Sakuma was the captain of the No. 6 submarine of the Japanese Navy in the Meiji period. The boat sank in an accident on 15 April 1910 (i.e., the Incident of Boat No. 6), killing 14 people below the captain. When the body was found, 14 of the 14 crew members, including Captain Sakuma and below, tried their best to repair them in their positions before their deaths.

Before his death, Captain Sakuma left a suicide note analyzing the causes of the accident, expressing concern about the development of the submarine, as well as concern for the families of the crew. Later, the accident of submarine No. 6 was established as a model of dedication and widely publicized in Japan.

Hirata wants to take everyone to sing on Mount Koying, which is 394 meters high. The Edajima Naval Academy is backed by Guying Mountain, across the sea from the famous naval base Kure Harbor, and Guying Mountain also provides an excellent training place for cadets.

Hirata watched his students say goodbye to the principal and leave. One of the phrases sung by the students in "Song of Edajima Ken'er" (with incorrect subtitles) is to send り迎えん四つの年 It is already four years autumn, but through the dialogue between Sagawa and Hirata above, it is already three years old, so the later lyrics have also been modified to "Three Years" in line with the change of the school system. Here is also a small BUG, the fourth grade big brother has become the third grade, very spiritless.

The details in the film have all been reviewed with you. Evaluating this film from a personal point of view, I think it is a very inspirational film after abandoning the militaristic color, and if you want to change your status quo, you must rely on continuous training to overcome yourself.

Hirata completed his social class leap through this method, which is not an exaggeration to use as a reference for personal growth trajectory now. Of course, at the same time, we must also be vigilant to see that everything that hirata succeeded was built in the context of Japan's foreign aggression, and hirata's original hope of changing the situation in Japan by becoming a politician was gradually paralyzed by militarism, so that Hirata, like an emotionless machine, only knew how to tirelessly complete the task and even gave up his sons and daughters but never had any reflection on the war launched by Japan.

Hirata felt sad about the death of his mother, his friend Honda felt pain after the death of Hirata, Commander Yamamoto's assassination failure made Hirata feel deeply remorseful and even tried to raise a gun to commit suicide, and more and more pain may have made Hirata feel numb and can only continue to numb himself through non-stop work. Hirata did not change Japan, but on the contrary, Japan fell into the abyss of war, and he finally embarked on his own road of no return with the start of the Okinawa Campaign.

Let's share with you some of the surrounding areas of this film. Directed by Mio Murayama and released in 1969 by Daiei Corporation, "Ah, Navy" seems to have little response in Japan, so it is also limited in the vicinity of Japan.

From 1920 to 1979, there is not much information about him, and in 1940 he worked as an assistant director, and was soon pulled to be a zhuangding. In 1946, he came to Daiei and began to show his talent as a director of war films from "Ah, Edajima", and the entire "Ah" series was his work.

Previously, Mizuo Murayama's most famous work was as an assistant director in the first Hong Kong-Japanese co-production film "Yang Guifei", and later in 1969, he took the name "Mu Shijie" to direct "Rémy Martin", "Killing Machine" and "Ghost Gate" for the Hong Kong Shaw Company (it is said that it is still a tertiary film).

From 1944 to the present, because the performance style of kabuki-born actors did not become popular until the late 1980s, it has been commented that his style of playing Ichiro Hirata in the film has also invisibly strengthened the unique temperament of the protagonist.

From 1931 to 2014, Ken Uzui became slightly more familiar with domestic audiences, and in 1975 he played his father and daughter Shigeru Oshima and Sachiko alongside Momoe Yamaguchi in the series Blood Doubt.

The film was introduced to China in 1984 and caused thousands of people to empty alleys, and "Blood Doubt" concentrated all the possible sensational factors of the melodrama, earning Chinese a lot of tears in the 80s. Uzui Ken is also a good father and husband in real life.

In 1984, when Kento Uzui came to China to participate in the Sino-Japanese Youth Friendship Party, he said: "I play an upright father on the stage, and I want to be a good father at home. ”

During the filming of Blood Doubt, Ken Uzui said to Momoe Yamaguchi, "You have to think of me as your father, and I see you as your own daughter." At that time, Yamaguchi Washie was only 16 years old, and in order to cultivate a father-daughter relationship, he accompanied Baihui to the street to buy things and eat together.

In Yamaguchi's first film, "Forced Laughter", in which Yamaguchi debuted at the age of 14, Ken Uzui played Yamaguchi's father. Since then, they have played father and daughter many times. Later, Yamaguchi and Tomokazu Miura married each other, and the red lady was Ken Uzui, which was rumored to be a good story.

From 1944 to the present, his real name is Hiraizumi Seishhiro, and his old stage name is Hiraizumi Seishhiro hiraizumi. The fourth grade big brother was already a little old and almost unrecognizable. On January 7, 1989, when Emperor Showa died and the era name "Heisei" in place of "Showa" was released, Hiraizumi Sei's far-fetched saying that "Hiraizumi is abbreviated as Heisei" became the central figure of the discussion at that time, and was besieged by paparazzi.

From 1944 to the present, there is not much information, and he has starred in films such as "A Thousand Cranes" and "Female Body", but retired after participating in the NHK series "Wind Sees Chicken" in 1977.

Including the entire "Ah" series of works of "Ah, Navy", that is, no name director, and no name horn (some of which are a little well-known or late in the big instrument), there is no gripping story that does not conform to the gimmick of the popular "youth idol drama" of that year, and the plot and narrative method also determine that it cannot become a historical drama like "United Fleet", and it is reasonable that such a film has been snubbed in Japan.

However, the unexpected repercussions of such an undesirable work being introduced into China as a reactionary film that "criticizes Japan's resurrection of militarism" are really unexpected.

Not long ago, I stumbled upon a clip of "Ah, Navy" to inform and report, and it is very interesting to actually contain some deleted shots:

"Ah, Navy" Film Review (3) The "Imperial Navy" Cast List Outside the Play Cast: Director Mitsuo Nakamura Yoshiemon (as Ichiro Hirata) Takanosuke Minegishi (as Motoda) Ken Uzui (as Captain Okano) Seki Hirai (as Corporal Morishita of "Kind Big Brother") Masayuki Mori (as Masao Idaguchi) Masao Shimada (as IsoroKuro Yamamoto) Kojiro Hongo (as Lieutenant Araki) Azusa Hideko (as Miss Akiko) This pit has been filled

In the scene where Hirata graduates and returns home to visit the grave, Miss Akiko says that she is getting married a few years before the main film, and asks Hirata what her plans are, and Hirata says that she has no consideration. It was because of cutting this shot that they later met in Tokyo.

When Hirata reported to the Naval Aviation Headquarters to meet Minister Iguchi, Lieutenant Maekawa (right), Lieutenant Araki (middle), Lieutenant Konishi (left) and several senior officers gathered around to introduce themselves and expressed their long-term expectations for Hirata, and it was also Araki who told Hirata Morishita of morishing. Perhaps this shot seems too deliberate to highlight Hirata, and finally changed to the main film when several senior officers are busy Hirata comes in to report and becomes an "uninvited guest".

In this shot, Hirata changes into the Navy's maroon blue "third military uniform" that he has never worn in the film and wears a "kamikaze" costume with a rising sun turban, and from the shōsa collar badge on the military uniform, it can be judged that this must be the scene at the end of the film where Hirata leaves Edajima for Okinawa, and gives the words "Goodbye, Motherland".

Hirata has never had such a strong militarist scene in the film, basically taking sides without a clear political stance on "people and things". Perhaps the director also felt that this shot was not in harmony with the style of the whole film and finally deleted it.

Some fan works on the Web

Looking back at the domestic peripherals and stories, there are many more.

Ah! "Navy" was introduced into China in 1970 as an internal reference film to criticize the revival of Japanese militarism. First of all, Premier Zhou asked Guangming Ribao to forward the article published by Hong Kong's Ta Kung Pao on August 18 entitled "Shattering the Dreams of the US-Japan Reactionaries:Commenting on the Japanese Reactionary Films "Yamamoto Fifty-Six", "The Battle of the Sea of Japan" and "Ah, Navy".

In July 1971, the People's Daily published an article in the name of "Tao Diwen" entitled "Debunking the Sato Government's Deception of Collecting Cannon Fodder: Commenting on the Japanese Reactionary Film 'Ah, Navy'". The article believes that the film is a self-defense force recruitment advertisement produced by the Japanese right wing to revive militarism.

Subsequently, in 1972, the State Council issued the Notice on the Internal Distribution of Three Japanese Reactionary Films, including "Ah! Three reactionary films, including "The Navy", began to be released nationwide, and cadres above a certain level in various localities were required to study relevant critical materials first, and then organize criticism after viewing.

The name "Tao Di Wen" was also named under the instructions of the prime minister, and after reprinting the ta kung pao article in Guangming Daily, the prime minister instructed the comrades of the military group of the Xinhua News Agency to write critical articles, and the pen name was "Tao Di Wen", which means to crusade against imperialism (瘨帝文).

The movie tickets of that year, the specific "reactionary trilogy" released is unknown.

Judging from the time on the ticket in 1971, it was before the State Council issued a nationwide notice of partial release in 1972, probably for higher-level leading cadres, and the admission rules on the ticket even deliberately emphasized that "no weapons are allowed to enter" It is estimated that it is also prepared for such people. At that time, this "Yan'an Road Battle Cinema" was found to be the "peace film capital" in Shanghai today.

Thanks to the good archival work of that year, I found the original newspaper "Debunking the Sato Government's Deception of Collecting Cannon Fodder - Commenting on the Japanese Reactionary Film "Ah, Navy", which was published in Guangming Daily on July 14, 1971 and reprinted by People's Daily on July 20.

Eisaku Sato served as Prime Minister of Japan from November 9, 1964 to July 7, 1972, and was in power for seven years and eight months. He is also the maternal uncle of Shinzo Abe, and the longest-serving Japanese prime minister before Abe resigned last September was Eisaku Sato. During his term of office, he was the golden age of Japan's rapid development, and he vigorously favored the Chinese mainland hostile to the other side in its relations with China.

Later, President Nixon's visit to China overwhelmed the Sato government, and it also wanted to "follow the trend" to improve relations with China, and even proposed to visit China in person - and finally Premier Zhou refused: "Sato Eisaku's words do not count, and China does not regard him as a negotiating opponent." ”

Sato's series of gaffes made Japanese diplomacy passive, and finally resigned. He was succeeded by a well-known "old friend of the Chinese people", Kakuei Tanaka.

The content of this critical material is the earliest content published in Hong Kong's "Ta Kung Pao" entitled "Shattering the Dreams of the American and Japanese Reactionaries - Commenting on the Japanese Reactionary Films "Yamamoto Fifty-Six", "The Battle of the Sea of Japan" and "Ah, Navy".

The above stamp represents that the book comes from the "Kaifeng High Pressure Valve Factory Reading Room", which was founded in 1959 and has now been restructured into Kaifeng High Pressure Valve Co., Ltd., which is a large backbone enterprise that produces and operates high and medium pressure valves and has been inspected by party and state leaders many times.

A critical outline before watching the film.

Unexpectedly, this material also saw the contradictions of the Japanese army and navy through the movie earlier:

"Vigorously propagating the so-called 'joint war dispute' between the Japanese Navy and the Army"; "putting the navy that attacked Pearl Harbor under the false mask of 'lord and faction'"; "This is the same as that of Yasuhiro Tsone, head of the 'Defense Agency' of the reactionary government of Sato: In the past, Japan fought with the United States by doing 'things beyond national strength' and engaging in 'adventurous diplomacy,' which is the 'lesson that is still applicable' that Japan has achieved in the 'Great East Asia War.'"

Yasuhiro Nakasone's remarks became more and more wrong the more he looked at them, and they were full of "weak tones", and it turned out that this guy was indeed a navy-born planner shaosa -- "The experience of the navy has a decisive influence on his world view, and has given him a wide network, and even if he loses the war, he is still full of pride in the navy." No wonder his remarks are full of naval atmosphere.

Perhaps the information of that year was far less developed than it is now, and Inoue Naimi, the "principal of the Naval Academy and the war criminal Inoguchi", was not classified as a war criminal by the US occupation authorities, which has been mentioned in the film review section of the article.

At the same time, what is unexpected is that with the introduction of "Ah, Navy" in China, it also gave birth to the biggest fan in China at that time - Lin Liguo.

After watching "Ah, Navy" and "Yamamoto Fifty-Six" and other internal reference films, he excitedly said to the members around him who participated in the "early succession" plan: "We are also a combined fleet, and we must also have the spirit of Edajima." The "Edajima Spirit" has thus entered a major historical node in China from the internal reference line, and has become a very evocative keyword.

Legend has it that the Minutes of the May 71 Project require the participating members to "resolutely obey the command of all actions and carry forward the spirit of Edajima." If you don't succeed, you become a benevolent person." Later, everyone knows the story, Lin Liguo took his "Edajima Spirit" and Lin Biao to die in Öndol Khan.

The dubbing of "Ah, Navy" is also very exciting, thanks to the deep skills of the older generation of filmmakers, it has become one with the characters in the play.

The protagonist of "Ah Navy" Hirata Ichiro is the famous actor Daniel Zhang hand of the Bayi Factory, which may be the original requirement of the internal reference film at that time, they are loyal to the original when dubbing, and the protagonist in the original work is dubbed as a positive character. In order to conform to the character Ichiro Hirata in the original work, Daniel Zhang hand completely changed the sound, full of Japanese Bushido, do not listen carefully, can not hear the Daniel Zhang hand matching sound.

It just so happens that Mr. Zhang also has stills of Zhang wearing a Type 50 naval uniform in "Chifeng", which is just as "very spirited" under coincidence.

Teacher Zhao Ruping, who voiced Morishita, played Pan Dongzi's father in "Shining Red Star". On the Internet, there are UP masters who have uploaded corporal Morishita's hot Chinese and Japanese bilingual version, compared to the original Japanese dubbing of the bland, the domestic Bayi factory dubbing version can be described as wonderful to completely raise the level of the film, with Morishita Big Brother's hideous and even a little exaggerated expression is really more "very spiritual" than the original Japanese version I don't know how many times.

It is considered a Chinese version of "Ah, Navy" on the Internet – "Salute, My Instructor". Especially in the neat queue at the beginning of the film with a water white naval uniform, the cadets rowing the sampan, and the footage of the Oriental Auxiliary Rui instructor making an introduction in front of the queue are somewhat referenced to the shadow of "Ah, Navy".

This film was filmed in 1987 shortly after the reform and opening up, and some "reactionary films" such as "Ah, Navy" and other internal references were also lifted to the public, and I believe that the director must have learned something from these materials.

In addition, "Salute, My Instructor" is very different from "Ah, Navy".

In the film "Salute, My Instructor" also reveals that people in that era have a unique sense of confusion in the face of the gradually opening up of the "world of flowers and flowers", for example, the filming background of this film is based on the Dalian Naval Academy of the Navy, and the title or position of "instructor" is basically not used in the Chinese military school system, so it is also considered to be a reference to the factor of "Ah, Navy".

In fact, the titles of captains and detachment leaders in "Ah, Navy" are widely used in Chinese military academies. In the shot of the meal, the students actually used chopsticks instead of chopsticks but forks and spoons that looked like they were eating Western food, but instead changed back to chopsticks after the ship practice.

From the perspective of naval equipment, we were still in the "Yellow Water Navy" period at that time, whether it was compared with the past Japan's "Ah, Navy" or the current Chinese Navy, it was simply impossible to say the same thing, and it felt that there was not even a decent ship in the camera to fill the picture, so in the whole film, we had to use a variety of uniform formal scenes to "fill the gaps". Interested friends can go to see it.

From the fact that I watched "Ah, Navy" ten years ago when I was still a very unpopular film that was not familiar to the outside world, to the unexpected popularity of the popular meme on the Internet - "Fourth Grade Big Brother Corporal Morishita", which made this film begin to be known to more young people, especially the new generation, in the entertainment and ghost animal spoofs at the same time brought more views and perspectives I feel very pleased.

As of the time of writing, there had been a lot of in-depth discussion about "Ah, Navy" on the Internet, which was unimaginable on the Internet a decade ago. I remember that some of the film reviews I can find are mostly a few words and memories written by people in the era of my parents, and the specific depth and interpretation cannot be talked about, so as the "back wave" of the Internet era, we are extremely lucky, we have the opportunity to discover more interesting harvests from the past paper pile, and we can also share more different values from them.

Not strong enough in the past, now fearless. The "Imperial Navy" that was once a storm is now in vain and will never be the same again. Even if there are more such films that "summon the soul of militarism" now, they are no longer a threat to China today. w
