On March 27, 2017, as usual, Chen Ping led his old cattle out to let the wind blow. As a result, in the southeast near the village, I accidentally found a dilapidated box lying on the side of the road, and when I opened it, I saw that it was all gold.

Chen Ping had no idea, he led the cow back to his home and told the news to his daughter Chen Ya, who lived in the city. After hearing that there was such a thing, Chen Ya immediately took a leave of absence and returned to her hometown.

For how to deal with this box of gold in the end, the father and daughter launched a fierce discussion, and finally the old man Chen Ping made up his mind and handed it in! So Chen Ya helped contact the Jinan Cultural Relics Bureau and reported the situation.

Soon, the archaeologists sent by the Cultural Relics Bureau came to Chen Ping's home. After lunch, the expert carefully identified the authenticity of the chest of gold. The result is satisfactory, this box of gold is real gold, should be the Republic of China period objects, are very well preserved.

Something can't be there for no reason, so there's definitely something wrong near that place. So after the archaeologists carried the box of gold to the car, they followed the old man Chen Ping to the southeast of the village to explore.

At first, the exploration results were zero and nothing was found at all. Just as the archaeologists were about to give up and return home with gold, they saw a staff member exclaim. It turned out that 152 meters away from here, traces of ancient tombs were finally detected.

This discovery shocked everyone in the archaeological team, but new questions also followed, whether the tomb could be dug or not? Finally, after receiving approval from the leadership and unanimous agreement within the archaeological team, archaeologists carried out a rescue excavation of the tomb.

With the help of high-tech means, the excavation went very smoothly, and it took only 1 and a half days to successfully enter the burial chamber. As everyone guessed, there are indeed many treasures in the burial chamber, but unfortunately there is a robbery hole directly above, and the traces are very new.

It seems that the tomb has been taken by tomb robbers, which makes archaeologists feel frustrated. According to the point test, a total of 1 box of gold, 39 gold objects, and 11 pieces of jade were unearthed from the tomb, each of which is of great value, and the manufacturing year is basically in the last year of the Qing Dynasty, so the owner of the tomb should live around the beginning of the 20th century.

Through the relevant records in the tomb, archaeologists have identified the identity of the owner of the tomb, Du Wei, an aide under Han Fuqu, the chairman of Shandong Province, in the 1930s.

Du Wei was born in Baoding, Hebei Province, and was born in Jinan, Shandong. His father, Du Shan, was a person during the Qing government, and his high position and authority were naturally not to talk about, but the Du Wei family could at least let him receive systematic learning from an early age, which alone surpassed ninety-nine percent of the people in the old society.

Although he has good family conditions, Du Wei has not slackened off. He has worked very hard since he was a child, hoping that one day he can become a lifter like his father. But his dream was doomed to be unfulfilled. In 1912, the Qing government collapsed, and the Beiyang government, which was full of separatist forces, was established.

At the age of 24, Han Fuqu was appointed chairman of Shandong Province because of his meritorious service in the Central Plains War. During his reign in Shandong, he built schools and suppressed bandits, and various localities showed a thriving trend. Seeing such a situation, Du Wei immediately began to surrender.

In March 1934, Du Weimao volunteered himself and came to the Shandong Provincial Office Building to talk with Han Fuqu. I don't know what the two said, but presumably Han Fuqu was very satisfied with Du Wei as a person, otherwise he would not have immediately appointed Du Wei as The Governor of Texas.

Being used so heavily by Han Fuqu, Du Wei was naturally more dedicated. In the subsequent factional struggles within the party, the Xi'an incident, and the handling of relations with the Communist Party, Du Wei's shadow can be seen.

In 1937, the War of Resistance broke out. The Japanese army occupied Beijing effortlessly, and then invaded Shandong. In the Battle of Texas, due to Du Wei's pioneering efforts against the Foreign Kou, he was unfortunately hit by a stray bullet and died.

After Hearing this news, Han Fuqu was very sad, so he buried Du Wei in the suburbs outside Jinan at his own expense, and put in a number of funerary items and 2 boxes of gold.

After disposing of the funerary goods, archaeologists believed that chen Ping, the old man who found gold and ancient tombs, was credited, so he issued a pennant to encourage him.
