Out of the south city gate of the village, walk half a kilometer to the west, and then go down the slope of eighty meters, walk through the dirt road in Lijiaya Village, which is crowded with mud houses on the slope, then walk into the factory gate that is open to the east, walk inward for 100 meters through the east-west avenue of the factory welfare area, and then from the narrow alley at the west end of the old building of the old staff dormitory in the north of the road that is still alive, and go north, you will enter the old open-air movie field of Shaanxi Machine.
Since then, as I have grown older, I have often grouped up with my peers and gone out of the village to see movies.
The open-air cinema of the Shaanxi Machine Tool Factory is surrounded on all sides, and the east side is a door-shaped screen frame. Behind the frame, the northern half is the wall, the southern half is the west top of the building, the south is a row of large tile houses, which is said to be the earliest student classroom, the north is a brick block more than one meter high, and ten meters above the barrier is the east and west staff dormitory. The west end of the sulou is the earliest staff bathhouse in the factory area. In front of the screen frame of the field is the cement flat ground of the lighted stadium. At both ends of the north and south rectangular courts are basketball paddles. The course occupies the eastern part of the field, and there are nearly two-thirds of the dirt field on the west side of the course, which is muddy when it rains. At the west end of the field is the club hall. The auditorium is headed from west to east, with a long row of east and west, and the second floor of the corner tower at the east end is the film screening room. The camera's light shot out of the east-facing window and hit the screen a hundred meters away. In the early and mid-1970s, this open-air cinema was a cultural and spiritual paradise for us, the staff and their families! In this field, we have seen countless exciting and emotionally rich films of that era. Like the early Soviet films "Lenin in October", "Lenin in 1918", "Stalingrad Defense War", "Xia Bingyang", etc., such as Albania's "Rather Die Unyielding", "The Morning of The Battle", "The Eighth is a Bronze Statue", Romania's "Storm", North Korea's "Son of the Train", "When the Apple Is Red", etc., and later Yugoslavia's "Walter Defends Sarajevo", "Bridge", Japan's "Pursuit", "Witness", "Wangxiang", "Ah Ye Mai Ling", etc., of course, there are many domestic films in response.
Let's talk about this club auditorium on the west side of the movie theater. The old auditorium of ShaanxiJi is arranged in an east-west direction, and on the north and south sides are blue green brick walls, with doors and windows, and a large-span herringbone tile roof. This auditorium presents the very exquisite woodworking classic techniques of the period, the west end of the auditorium is the east-facing open stage, and the east exhibition hall under the stage is several rows of strong and heavy wooden rows of chairs for the audience.
On both sides and behind the auditorium, there is a two-story spectator bridge platform surrounded by doors, which is more than two meters wide, with thick wooden planks at the bottom and a one-meter-high railing on the outside. This unique bridge and gallery provides a view and a unique perspective for a part of the audience that cannot be accommodated in the hall below. I remember that people crowded to watch the new domestic movie "Unforgettable Battle", which was played by Dashi Chang and Jiao Huang, and it was an interesting one-square-large small screen at that time. The crowd was so crowded that I remember climbing up the wooden staircase at the east end and huddled around the second-story bridge platform on the south side. The perspective inside is all crisscrossed wooden worlds, with beams on the top, wooden abutments in the middle, and wooden pillars and wooden chairs underneath, which is very specific to the weather of a specific era.
Just outside the club hall, just west of the North Point, is the TV booth that was once buzzing in the late seventies. A small black and white tv by the east window and a small color TV by the west window. At that time, the popular "Huo Yuanjia", "Ten Thousand Mountains and Thousand Mountains Are Always Love", "People at the Bottom of the Atlantic", "Eighteen Years of enemy camp", "Wu Song", and "Fog Lock Nanyang" were all seen there. At that time, we were in junior high school in our village, and at seven o'clock, we would rush to the bottom of the village, sweating and watching TV, and the spiritual head that traveled far away could never be copied!
At that time, watching a movie at the Shaanxi Machine Open-air Cinema, the previous period required patience. The screening room is always playing "quiet" slides on the screen. Because the first film of the film was first screened in Yuzhen City, June 15 was the second stop, and Shaanxi Machine was the third stop, so it was normal to start a little later, and it was normal to start at more than 9 o'clock. Often people sitting in the field waited anxiously, and suddenly heard the sound of the second-floor machine room opening and closing the box of film, people were excited, coming, the film came. So the very loud screen motor opened, a bright light directly hit the screen, people will concentrate on immersing themselves in the world of the film, appreciate the strangeness of the world, feel the emotions of the strange people, appreciate the life form of the outside society, in order to expand the understanding of enriching their spiritual world!
The old film field of Shaanxi Ji was transferred around 1978 and moved to the south of the East Gate East-West Avenue, 30 or 40 meters away from the East Gate. This long field from north to south is flanked by low-rise tile houses for employees' families, on the north side of the open road, and on the south side is a low-rise movie room. The silver screen iron shelf is somewhat to the north. After 1978, the development of national cinema was gradually in an active stage, domestic films such as "Little Flower", "Wrangler", "Murder case of 405", "Secret Bureau gunfire", "From slave to general", "Look at this family" and so on were released lively, and many Western European films were introduced, such as "The Sound of Music", "Zorro", "Crazy Nobleman", "Tiger Mouth Escape", and Chaplin's "Modern Era", "City Lights" and so on. This simple film scene has left a warm time for the families of shaanxi machine factory employees and surrounding villagers!
As a relatively large factory, June 15 has a higher grade than Shaanxi Machine in the selection of the fresh level of the film. Therefore, there is a lot of time, and the films screened on June 15 may not necessarily be screened on the night of Shaanxi. Therefore, sometimes when Shaanxi Machine has shown old films, people with diligent legs have changed the field, walked out of Shaanxi Machine, walked south to the railway, walked four or five hundred meters to the east, and came to the factory gate on the side of the June 15 Railway. This leads to the open-air cinema square inside the 615 Gate.
In the 1970s, June 15, sitting on the north-facing gate, is still open and sunny today in 2021. It's just that the style of the gate follows the layout with the changes of the times.
In the old days, the 615 gate was a convex semi-lonely circular bungalow reception room in the middle, and on both sides of the room were two large iron bars. The west gate usually enters and exits personnel vehicles, and the east gate is often closed and rarely opened. Inside the east gate is the fire brigade, and the red fire truck and red garage door are impressive. The west gate goes in, facing the big flower bed, and the green road of the big flower bed to the west is the factory staff welfare area, remember that there is a large bathhouse. The large flower bed in the shunmen gate is a dozen steps to the east, turning to the north, which is the June 15 open-air movie field.
The June 15 film field is not cramped, narrow and enclosed like the film field of Shaanxi Ji, and there are no tall buildings on the east and west sides, so people have a broad field of vision and a pleasant look. I remember that on both sides of the northern half of the square, there was a square large area of flower beds, of course, this flower bed rarely had seasonal flowers, but green sensen holly and pine cypress. The flower beds are surrounded by carved low iron railings. In the middle of the square is a tall silver screen iron frame that spans from east to west. Bounded by the curtain frame, the large square is divided into two parts, north and south. The northern film is the audience watching the film field, sometimes the hot film, the front field can not accommodate, there are a large number of audiences sitting in the background field, looking at the opposite direction of the picture.
To the west of the northern half of the studio is the old auditorium of the Factory Club. Later demolished to form a new club. To the east is the wall of the factory production area. Just to the north is the factory office building, which still stands today. In a window on the second floor of the building, a window is a photo studio, and a column of colored light shines directly into the screen during the broadcast, broadcasting a thrilling movie for us!
Throughout the 1970s, in an era when people's spiritual and cultural food was relatively poor, the june 15th film brought us endless spiritual enjoyment and positive energy education in the world view.
In the early days, we remember waiting for most of the night, almost eleven o'clock in the night, before the North Korean "Flower Girl" came from the city, and the tear-jerking film made nearly 10,000 spectators cry. In this warmly reminiscent movie square, we not only looked at the beauty of the movie, but also held a large-scale fireworks display at that time every 15th Yuanxiao Festival, June 15, as a powerful factory in the county. Today, from time to time, I pass by the front of the factory of Shaanxi Machinery and 615, look at the factory scenery of things that are not human, and suddenly feel grateful for the infinite rich beauty brought to us by this historical old factory in the old years! I wish the two beautiful factories prosperity, eternal youth, and create brilliance again!
