The domestic author even encountered a few C202s in Guangdong and found a very good C202 in Guangdong, which was once a multi-purpose vehicle of the Swedish army for a static introduction and interpretation. This introduction is divided into two parts: body structure and power.

There are actually many opinions about the Regal C202, whether it belongs to the Regal passenger car part or the commercial vehicle part. In fact, the author saw the introduction of the regal C202 on the official website, coupled with the unique body structure of the C202, it is understandable to be divided into the truck part.
1. Regal C202 appearance structure:
The Regal C202 LAPLANDER has body sizes of 4015×1680×2145mm, with a hardtop curb weight of 1.8 tons and a standard load of 0.7 tons (the rated load of the soft top and pickup versions can reach 0.9 tons). The hard-top body is a 5-door two-seat design, and there are no seats in the rear half of the carriage.
The small cam design does not mean that its engine is located at the front of the cab, but only gives the driver some space in the legs. It wasn't the first to be designed this way, with the Mercedes-Benz Unimog in the front and the Pinzgauer in Steyr behind.
The appearance of the C202 as a product sold for civilian use has also been replaced, adding a rectangular black backplane mask, the outer ring of the mask is wrapped with a silver border with rounded corners, and more characteristics of the front face of the Regal sedan. The engine's heat dissipation grille is still in the middle of the area, and careful observation can be found that in fact, the front face structure has not changed.
The position of the intake tract is still in the original place of the car system, the position below the windshield is on the left, and the intake duct is also fixed with six hexagonal bolts. The color of the hexagonal bolt is somewhat different from the color of the far original car, and this accessory should be repaired by the owner when he refurbishes it later.
Facing the civilian market, the Regal C202 has not only made improvements in appearance, but some accessories have also made the transition from reliability to practicality and aesthetics for the civilian market. More representative is the turn signal shell, regal C202 turn signal shell using longitudinal bar light shell, the shell using four cross screws fixed, disassembly and repair is very convenient. The size of the headlights is the same as that of vehicles such as the L3314, which is convenient for the universal use of parts.
The bumper of the Regal C202 also follows the bumper structure of the L3314 series, using two steel pipe welds, and the left and right sides of the bumper have a photo pendant, and the middle is a towing pin.
The body adopts a non-load-bearing design of steel structure, and the rear half of the carriage can be disassembled, replaced with a soft roof or modified by itself. The exterior sheet metal and lines seem rough and wild, but many of the details reflect the delicacy of Nordic man-made cars.
The author did not personally try the door opening and closing angle of the Regal C202, but according to the introduction and practice pictures on the Internet, the front, middle and rear doors are not installed with limiters, and the doors adopt the form of hinge opening and closing, and the angle of the three doors can be close to 180 °.
In order to prevent the direct collision between the door and the body, the middle door of the Regal C202 is installed with a black round rubber buffer block in the door hinge part, when the door is opened to an angle, the buffer block will collide with the hinge plane fixed on the body, preventing the door from colliding with the body, playing a limiting role.

The left and right sides of the front door are convex designs, which are covered with door switch mechanisms, which also ensure the beauty of the vehicle. The door switch of the C202 also adopted the pull-back switch commonly found in civilian vehicles at that time, and the door lock was added.
Seven windows were installed on the carriage, including the cockpit, a total of ten windows. Cockpit windows, second row windows and fourth row windows are pushed and pulled forward and rear, and the windows are also equipped with anti-theft locks. The exterior of the windows has been added rubber seals, and the seals have not decayed or fallen off.
The rear part of the car is actually divided into two sub-parts, one is the upper part of the carriage, and the other part is the chassis part. The hard-roofed carriages were fitted with doors with tail windows, and a suspended hanger of spare tires was suspended from the outside of the doors. The more essential part of the Regal C202 is also in the chassis part, basically the functions of the L3314 military vehicle can be seen on the C202. A set of rear fuel tanks is set on the driver's side of the welded rear side of the body, and the fuel filling port is reinforced by a set of steel plates.
Located in the center of the rear bumper to set a group of tow hooks with limiters, Regal C202 launched a variety of tow hooks in the face of the civilian market, with electrical wiring and PTO interface can not only connect trailers, but also drag some smaller operating machinery.
The circuit interface structure adopts a 7-pin circular fast interface, and the socket matched by the original car is also installed on the interface. The interface protection cover also has a double function, when the cover can protect the interface, when open, it can jam the end of the latch to play the role of a limiter to prevent the latch from falling off during use.
The boarding pedal at the rear of the car is actually integrated with the tow hook, and the left and right sides of the empty area are just convenient for ordinary people to get on and off, and the width is just enough to accommodate one foot. The power is output from the transfer wheel to the rear flange by a set of drive shafts, and this structure will be analyzed later when we introduce the power part.
2. Regal C202 cabin internal structure:
The body welding of the Regal C202 includes a front and co-pilot area and a passenger (freight) area, and there are no seats installed in the rest except for the main co-driver position. Considering that the Regal C202 was originally a Swedish military vehicle located in Northern Europe, it was natural to be equipped with heating. A 30W two-speed blower is installed in the middle of the hardtop version of the carriage, which is switched on and off via the instrument panel. The ducts of the blower are connected to the inside of the engine compartment and a heat exchanger is installed in the cooling system.
Even with the cargo version, the Regal C202 also installed wooden strips for longitudinal seats under the windows of the hard-roofed carriages, providing a backrest for the members of the car.
The roof removal of the Regal C202 is also convenient, using hex bolts and nuts to fix, the lower part is a nut, and the upper part is a bolt. Simply take a suitably sized hex wrench and unscrew the bolts inside the cabin to remove the roof.
You don't have to worry about the middle door when removing the headlights, because the middle door and the roof are integrated, and the door snaps and hinges are installed on the top of the car. The interior of the door is fitted with a sealant strip, which fills the gap between the lower half of the door and the body when the roof is installed on the body.
3. Regal C202 driving area and interior:

Compared with the military version of the L3314 and the extended model, the civilian version of the Regal C202's workbench and the lower half have been wrapped, and a large number of hard plastics and functional parts have also added a lot to the interior of the vehicle. However, most of the parts are still common with the L3314 series models, and the layout structure is basically the same.
The steering wheel has a three-panel design and does not have any functions. The back dashboard and table are in the form of oblique placement, the angle of the instrument can not be adjusted, coupled with the design without a hood is easy to reflect the phenomenon.
Symmetrical double meter structure, on the left is the speedometer, the speedometer is integrated with the odometer, the odometer shows that the car has a mileage of 34898 kilometers. The large meter on the right is the integrated meter, followed by the fuel position meter and the water temperature meter. Four small lights are installed on the left and right sides, the two small lights on the left half are the switches for the left and right turn signals, and the corresponding other side is the oil alarm light and the headlight switch.
The left half of the vehicle functions the operating area, the upper half of the three orange button switches control the transfer case and the PTO interface switch. Below the two black buttons control the lights of the headlights. The control of the turn signal relies on the lever at the left rear of the steering wheel to operate, which is similar to the common car operation.
Located on the right side of the dashboard is the body condition indicator, the upper two rows of lights show a variety of display lights including handbrake lights, full drive switch indicators, PTO switch indicators, emergency switch indicators and so on. The lower half has two buttons and a lever. The corresponding is the independent motor of the left and right wipers, and the left side brush works by pressing the left button; the same reason the right button drives the right side wiper to work. When this small lever is pushed forward, the vehicle hazard alarm flash starts, and the HAZARD indicator on the top also starts.
The two buttons under the transverse heating air control lever switch are the front fan switch (40W two-speed blower) and the right fan switch, the front fan switch corresponds to the adjustable air outlet above the table; the right fan switch should correspond to the blower on the right side of the middle of the body.

The ride and driving experience of the vehicle are very general, the seat does not have a shock absorption mechanism, and the seat is not equipped with head support, and it is impossible to use the normal sitting position to lean on the seat. On the other hand, the C202 has been civilized, and the inside, interior and top of the cab doors are bolted to the black decorative panels. However, the body seal is still basically the same as that of the military vehicle, so when driving the C202, the leaf spring gives the body the purest feedback.
The front top of the cab has rearview mirrors, and the front of the main co-pilot is also equipped with rotatable sun visors.
As a direct model of the L3314, the Regal C202 still maintains the versatility of the L3314, but the interior has been slightly improved in order to be close to the civilian market. At that time, it was basically unrealistic to use the Regal C202 as a family car, so most of the car was still sold to users in the special field.
