Aesop's Fables: The Fox and the Woodcutter
A fox is being chased by hunters when he sees a woodcutter working on the hillside.
The fox rushed to the woodcutter and said, "Kind man, please save me, the hunter is chasing me?" The woodcutter looked at the fox and told him to hide in a log cabin behind him. After a while the hunter came over and asked the woodcutter, who was working, "Did you see a fox just now?" Listening to the hunter's words, the fox in the cabin was terrified, and he watched nervously through the crack in the door to the scene outside the house. I saw the woodcutter say loudly that he didn't see it, and at the same time, he secretly pointed to the cabin with his hand. But the hunter did not see the woodcutter's gesture, he looked around for a moment, and walked away.
The fox came out of the hut, said nothing, turned and left, and the woodcutter looked angry, and he scolded: "You ungrateful fellow, I saved you, you didn't even say thank you, you want to go away like this?" ”
The fox looked at the woodcutter and said, "Friend, if your intentions and gestures are in agreement, I will certainly be grateful to you, and now I think I will no longer need it." When he had finished, he walked away, and the woodcutter looked at the fox's back and could not utter a word.
