The National Alpine Ski Centre Racing Track conducts a pre-race drill

Beijing, 1 Feb (Xinhua) -- On 1 February, the first day of the Lunar New Year, the National Alpine Ski Center's racing track conducted a full-process drill before the Beijing Winter Olympics.

At about 11:00 a.m., the test skaters successively embarked on a brand-new racing track and conducted a full-process drill according to the race time mode.

Liu Qianxun, secretary general of the venue operation team of the National Alpine Ski Center, introduced that a total of 5 test skaters in this whole-process drill conducted a track test and experienced a track with a gap of more than 800 meters. The drill included the broadcast, timing, award ceremony and press conference of the entire racing track.

It is understood that the alpine skiing project of the Beijing Winter Olympics will usher in the first official competition day on February 6. "The overall drill today is still good, and we hope to show the world the excitement of alpine skiing on the first official competition day." Liu Qianxun said. (End)
