The implementation of junior high school graduation, high school enrollment "two examinations in one", on the whole, for students who graduate from junior high school and take the middle school entrance examination, basically about half of them will not be able to enter ordinary high schools, and can only enter vocational high schools and colleges of the same level, and it is even more difficult to enter universities.

Opposition to the idea of diversion and "inner volume"

Professor Yao Yang believes that although the trend has emerged, in fact, many of the pressures faced by primary and secondary school students are completely meaningless: in the case of primary school students, their learning is actually relatively simple, as long as they master some basic knowledge, more is to enjoy childhood life, stimulate imagination and creativity.
However, the competitive psychology of the entire education system and even society makes primary school students forced to be involved in this competition, in addition to some necessary courses, but also to sacrifice most of their time to participate in the so-called "interest classes", "special classes", "cram classes", resulting in excessive pressure, their own energy is difficult to master and absorb too much knowledge, with little effect.
Proposal to address the "inner volume" of primary and secondary schools
Professor Yao Yang believes that one way to solve this situation is to establish a ten-year compulsory education system that connects the educational stages of junior high school and high school, does not allow students to choose schools, and controls the emergence of "super schools".
This allows students to enjoy the same quality of education as possible, without costing parents economic and social capital for better schools; students can also focus on their studies.
Originally, the progressive system of primary, junior and senior levels seems to be able to divide students into corresponding schools according to their foundation and level, but one of the consequences of this system is that both students and their families will equate the goals of further education with themselves, and it seems that the criterion for judging a young person is to see what kind of school he can enter.
Once the policy of diverting junior high school examinations comes true, a large number of students will interrupt their studies after graduating from junior high school, so that after receiving relevant vocational education, they will enter the relevant industries in society at a very young age.
Although this approach can reduce the pressure on those who are still educated in school to some extent, for these shunted students, their perceptions in the society they live in will not change.
They are often still regarded as "vocational school students" who are "not good at studying" and "have no future", which is very stressful for these students.
At the same time, even if you enter a factory or similar institution to work, you need students to have a certain level of occupation, so letting students leave the campus early to work is actually a similar "drinking and quenching thirst" option.
There is still a long way to go to solve education-related problems
In fact, no matter what age group of individuals, there are not a few people who have been affected by this "inner volume" wind in the past two years, and we can even say that this influence has led to a kind of social anxiety - everyone in society will feel the pressure and become negative.
How do people in society divide? Most people actually have a job and life because of their own achievements and achievements in the process of receiving education, so to a large extent, the impact of education on individual life is huge.
Needless to say, the diversion of the middle school entrance examination will only aggravate the inner volume of education to a certain extent, the system is not yet sound at the moment, not many parents are willing to let their children go to vocational high, 10 years of compulsory education can really treat both the symptoms and the root causes?
A key area for eliminating this social anxiety should be the reform of the education system. Professor Yao Yang said that for example, a prominent education problem, the lack of teachers, is very critical to the impact of educational equity.
If colleges and universities introduce more free teacher training policies, especially to encourage rural students who have worked hard to go out of their hometowns to enter universities, such a method can solve the gap between urban and rural education to a certain extent.
Of course, there are many such educational problems, which are bound to be difficult to solve in a short period of time.
However, as long as we focus on the reform of the education system, rather than some superficial problems, it will be very effective for solving some social problems, especially the internal volume of education.
