Three Lebanese skiers will compete for the Beijing Winter Olympics

Beirut, 1 Feb (Xinhua) -- The Lebanese Ski Federation recently held a press conference to announce that three skiers, Eli Tauk, César Anouk, and Mano Orvis, will compete in the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Taok, 19, will compete in cross-country skiing, while Anuq and Orvis, also 21, will compete in alpine skiing.

Anouk said: "I am very excited and can't wait to get there [Beijing]. I am proud that all the hard work and hard work has been rewarded and we have qualified for the Winter Olympics. ”

"Sport is not only about physical fitness, it's also about will, thought, dedication," Orvis said. I'm excited to meet people from all over the world and share the same passion. ”

Freddie Kairouz, president of the Lebanese Ski Federation, stressed the significance of Lebanon's participation in the Winter Olympics at the meeting, pointing out that participating in the Beijing Winter Olympics will inspire more people to carry out and participate in winter sports.
