The 24-year-old van der Beek joined Manchester United from Ajax in the summer of 2020 for a transfer fee of 39 million euros. But after moving to the Red Devils, he had few chances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Lonnick, making just 14 appearances so far this season, mostly as a substitute.
