There are 3 press conference halls in the Mountain News Center, and due to the large seat spacing for epidemic prevention and control reasons, the number of seats that can be seated at the press conference has been compressed, of which 3 press rooms originally had a capacity of 190, 60 and 35 seats. However, due to the requirements of epidemic prevention, the number of seats in the resetting press room was reduced to 70, 35 and 26, fully meeting the requirement of media reporters sitting at intervals.
Due to the reduction in the number of seats in the press room, the number of journalists who can enter the press room will also be reduced. To this end, the Olympic Broadcasting Corporation (OBS) will set up live broadcast equipment in the release hall and transmit it to the information system of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, so that journalists who cannot be present can participate in the press conference online. In addition, these video content will be recorded synchronously for review and download.
According to Guo Ying, since the launch of the Mountain News Center on January 4, the entire mountain news center media release hall team has carried out dozens of small press conference simulation exercises, many of which are from the details, including the delivery method of the microphone, the distribution method of the simultaneous interpretation machine, the walking route setting of personnel entry and exit, and so on. The large-scale simulation test of the whole process was also carried out five times by the release hall team, of which the team conducted the last drill on the 28th, further optimizing the workflow including audio and power equipment, simultaneous interpretation, broadcasting, and walking streamline settings.
After each press conference, the venue epidemic prevention team will immediately carry out epidemic prevention and disinfection work on the scene. In addition, the press hall of the Zhangjiakou Mountain News Center has a special function, that is, the ultraviolet killing system is set up in the hall. After the press room is emptied, indoor ultraviolet disinfection can be carried out to ensure the safety of epidemic prevention in the press room.
