On November 1 and November 12, Apple's Apple TV+ and Disney's Disney+ streaming platforms were launched; NBC Global's Peacock and Warner's HBO Max will be launched around April and May next year.
On the long-running Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime platforms, hundreds of movies and American dramas are available for people to choose from... With the advent of winter, many new and old streaming media platforms are contributing their own variety of film and television content to the audience.
The global film and television industry map will be different due to the rise of the "Streaming Big Six" (for narrative convenience, Hulu, which is fully controlled by Disney, is counted as Disney streaming). Hollywood's six major is a giant structure formed in the development of the American film industry for hundreds of years, and it has changed many times during the period, starting with the eight MGM, Lei Dianhua, and Lianmei have faded out of sight. With Fox being acquired by Disney, the Big Six also became the Big Five.
If streaming media has only been 17 years since Netflix went public in 2002, no one can fully predict what the future will be.
To this end, Time Network will successively launch two streaming media features, analyzing from the perspective of industry and users. Today we first introduce what good dramas and good movies can be brought to everyone by the rise of the "six major streaming media" for ordinary users.
The Mandalorian
For users, different platforms have different prices, different services, and different categories of film and television works, and each one has sacrificed its own top work in the fierce streaming media war. For example, in Disney+'s new "Star Wars" American drama "Mandalorian", between distant galaxies, the green-skinned baby that resembles Master Yoda quickly captured the hearts of Star Wars fans around the world;
Henry Cavill, who temporarily left the "Superman" red cloak, starred in Netflix's new drama based on the game/novel" "Demon Hunter", fists, feet and muscles will definitely make people feast their eyes; we have seen the sitcoms "Friends" and "The Big Bang Theory" that have brought countless emotions over and over again, and will land on the HBO Max platform, comforting old fans and finding opportunities to attract new fans;
Demon Hunter
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who played sisters in "Friends," reunited nearly 20 years later in Apple TV+'s new show "Morning News," to play the true story of the sexual assault scandal caused by the abuse of power by the top; Hulu's "Our Day", "Kill Eve", and Amazon's "The Amazing Mrs. Maisel" and "Modern Love", all of which are either broadcast on TV and then landed on these streaming platforms, or the platform's own original series.
It is worth mentioning that American audiences and our movie-watching habits are not the same, when a series ends on tv, or after a movie is released, if there is no TV station replay or cinema re-screening, the only legal "double brush" opportunity they can have is to buy DVDs - all this can be changed after the emergence of streaming platforms and video websites, so these platforms will scramble to create new dramas, buy the broadcast rights of old dramas, and retain audiences.
Morning News
Time Network summarized disney+, HBO Max, Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV+, Hulu and Peacock these seven major streaming media sites, there are already, upcoming, finished, not yet filmed a variety of film and television works, may you chase the drama this winter happy, no longer cold.
