Chinese chip design companies attract tech talent with high salaries and equity, and Micron, a large American memory chip maker, has lost more than a third of its team of about 300 people in Shanghai. Micron Technology confirmed to Reuters on Wednesday (Jan. 26) that it plans to move a design department in Shanghai by the end of the year. The company said it will end the DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) chip design business at the Shanghai Design Center. This work is expected to be completed by December 2022. ”
