Simple, vigorous and full of Zen atmosphere, this is a calligraphy work by Guo Yongxiao, a famous brewer, calligrapher, national first-class artist, member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and vice chairman of the Calligraphers Association of the Federation of Literary and Art Circles of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
To this day, I still vividly remember the story of May 4, when I went with my friends and my party to Emei Mountain in Sichuan to meet the great monk Shi Yongshou.
On that day, the sky was clear, and the pleasant sound of birdsong jumped up among the emerald green leaves, as if to welcome our arrival.
During this visit to the great monk Shi Yongshou, one was to pray, the second was to seek the "True Scriptures", and the third was to impress people's hearts, but there was also an important thing that was entrusted by Guo Yongxiao, the master of Guo Zhai, to present a piece of calligraphy to the great monk Shi Yongshou to show respect and integrity.
According to public information, Shi Yongshou Grand Monk, born in December 1963, was a native of Fushun, Sichuan, and was hired as a librarian at the Sichuan Provincial Museum of Literature and History in September 2009. Less well known is that after graduating from high school in 1982, he was ordained by the old master of the Ming Dynasty at the Wannian Temple in Mount Emei, with the name Huafu. In April 1985, after receiving full ordination at Baoguang Temple, he studied and practiced under Master Panneng. In his practice, monk Shi Yongshou was diligent and studious, respected the teacher, loved the country and religion, and had pure faith, which was highly respected by the former president of the Leshan Buddhist Association, Master Quanneng, and the trust and support of the monks all over the mountain. He has successively served as the superintendent of Wannian Temple, the superintendent of Baoguo Temple, and the executive vice president of the Emeishan Buddhist Association. During his tenure of office, he abstained from self-denial, worked diligently, and achieved outstanding results. In 1999, he was elected president of the Mount Emei Buddhist Association and has been re-elected ever since...
The great monk Shi Yongshou reverently received Guo Yongxiao's calligraphy from our hands, and I could feel the aura in Master Shi Yongshou's eyes, which was a blessing of kindness and kindness and selflessness. The master took the framed scroll calligraphy, smiled, and took photos with our five friends to commemorate the occasion. Master Shi Yongshou expressed his respect for Guo Yongxiao's ink treasure, and made an objective analysis and evaluation from the aspects of the form and artistic background of calligraphy works, as well as the ideological system and pen methods.
The master pointed out that the meaning of calligraphy, the realm of calligraphy, the connotation of calligraphy, and the beauty of writing are the unique souls of Guo Yongxiao's calligraphy works, while the contemporary calligrapher Mr. Guo Yongxiao, unlike the masters of various schools of ancient and modern masters, is that in his calligraphy art works, in addition to the beauty of structure, there is also the beauty of architecture, especially its far-reaching meaning and the feeling of refining people's hearts.
It is worth mentioning that Master Shi Yongshou also emphasized that when he first saw Guo Yongxiao's calligraphy works, there was an inexplicable perception, that is, the visual induction brought by words to people.
At the same time, the master also stressed that whether it is a calligraphy expert or an ordinary person, as long as they see Guo Yongxiao's calligraphy works, they will be infected by the exuberance and elegance of Guo Yongxiao's self-contained great seal book, which is difficult for ordinary calligraphers to do, which fully explains the unique charm of Guo Yongxiao's calligraphy works.

They said that careful tasting, it is not difficult to see that Guo's calligraphy artwork in the visual and layout space design in addition to the sense of beauty, there is also a kind of spiritual shock, his calligraphy works and seal carvings and Zen culture are diverse, in the calligraphy works alone, people can transmit a transcendent perception through the visual nerves, this psychological induction is the heart from the dust of trivialities, the meaning of the jade dust is not exhausted.
Some people say that the beauty of the literal meaning can be pleasing to the eyes, and the depth of the energy of the text can help life. In fact, this trip to Mount Emei to present the ink treasure to Master Shi Yongshou is not only an exchange, but also a kind of fate, that is, those who have a fate will eventually meet.
Friends who are familiar with Guo Yongxiao know that he is not only a surname culturalist, but also a famous calligrapher. He has loved calligraphy since childhood, especially seal carving, and he is extremely fond of classical Chinese literature, often pondering the art of seal carving alone in the dead of night. I clearly remember that when I was fourteen years old, Guo Yongxiao grew into a tall boy, who was naturally intelligent and was deeply loved by the famous calligraphers Chen Fengtong and Yao Zhecheng.
Ten years of hard reading in the cold window, only for a dynasty gold list title. Guo Yongxiao's calligraphy and seal engraving works, antique, and classical elements are integrated, he pursues the majestic beauty of calligraphy, natural beauty, and seal into the book, the knife is majestic and powerful, and there is no lack of soft beauty, giving people timeless.
After donating calligraphy, returning to the hotel, meeting with friends to taste the picture of culture came to life, one by one back on the projection of my soul, my heart could not be calmed for a long time, I think this is the most powerful testimony of Guo Yongxiao's life and Zen culture!
