Mr. Fang Runhua, a famous patriotic entrepreneur and philanthropist in Hong Kong, chairman of the Hong Kong Hip Shing Bank Group, chairman of the Fang Shu Fu Tang Fund and the Fang Runhua Fund, drove to the west of the crane at the age of 98.
Mr. Fong Yun-wah is a well-known patriotic entrepreneur, who has been friends with Li Ka-shing, Fok Ying Tung, Cheng Yu Tong and Ho Hung-sun for many years, and is also a well-known patriotic philanthropist, who has closely combined the enterprising spirit of enterprise development with the dedication of education xingbang, and has been concerned about education, medical care, poverty alleviation and disaster relief and other social welfare undertakings in the mainland for more than 60 years, donating more than 300 schools throughout the country.

Mr. Fang Runhua, who has been practicing the road of charity all his life, once said: "It is a good thing to donate funds for education and cultivate talents, and the mood is very comfortable, and I said from the bottom of my heart: 'We have done good things, we are at ease, and it is a very happy thing to stay in heaven and earth forever.' In fact, Mr. Fang Runhua's original intention of doing public welfare stems from his regrets when he was young.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, social turmoil, Fang Runhua was forced to drop out of school and missed precious reading time, for him, dropping out of school at a young age is an irreparable regret in life, so he donated funds to school, and must let more children enter the classroom.
Similarly, because of the war, Fang Runhua saw the impact of medical backwardness on society, and also saw the despair of the homeless and toiling masses for life, and the deep memories of war, poverty and school dropout stimulated Fang Runhua's patriotic charity and gave him a series of good deeds later.

In 1977, Fang Runhua and his father Fang Shuquan founded the Fang Shu Fu Tang Fund, and in 1986, he founded the Fang Runhua Fund. After the establishment of these two funds, Fang Runhua will extract 10%-15% of the profits of its Xiecheng Bank Group into charity every year, and the original intention will not change for decades.
Although he moved to Hong Kong with his father at the age of 4 or 5, Fang Runhua never forgot his ancestral home and hometown. Therefore, the first donation of the Fang family was to build the first school for their hometown of Dongguan in 1956.
In the past 60 years, Mr. Fang Runhua has donated more than 300 schools, with a total public welfare amount of more than one billion.

Not only focusing on education, Mr. Fang Runhua also attaches great importance to the development of the medical and health field.
The Fang Shu Fu Tang Foundation and the Fang Runhua Foundation donated 56 health centers to poor townships in the mainland through overseas Chinese affairs offices, the Red Cross Society of China and the Association of Shipping Associations in the mainland, and vigorously funded hospitals, built medical facilities, and contributed money to medical research and development.
Nowadays, the country's aerospace industry is developing rapidly, and in the journey to the sea of stars, there is also a part of Mr. Fang Runhua.

In the early 1990s, Mr. Fang Runhua donated money to the Xichang Satellite Launch Center to fund the construction of the Aerospace Science and Technology Park. Not only that, he also called on patriots from all walks of life in Hong Kong to actively participate in the donation, and after four consecutive organizational fundraising, the two satellite launch centers in Xichang and Jiuquan received donations of nearly 2 million yuan.
In order to commemorate Fang Runhua's contribution to the development of the space industry, in 1994, nominated by the Purple Mountain Observatory and approved by the International Minor Planet Committee, asteroid 5198 was named "Fang Runhua Star".
Due to his outstanding contributions to philanthropy over the years, Mr. Fang Runhua has been awarded the 4th National Top Ten "Poverty Alleviation Champions", "China Charity Award", "2006 China Top Ten Construction Talents", and was awarded the Golden Bauhinia Star by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
