Since the Spring Festival of the Year of the Tiger, the Museum has launched a global amber treasure exhibition of natural treasures

Amber is the lightest organic gemstone in nature and has been loved since ancient times. Amber is also a special buried fossil with rich scientific information, opening a window into the ancient world. On February 1 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), the temporary exhibition "Natural Treasures - Global Amber Treasures" will officially open in the B2 Atrium of the Shanghai Museum of Natural History until May 8.

There are 500 ambers from all over the world in the exhibition hall, even after hundreds of millions of years of geological and historical changes, the organisms in the body are still clearly detailed, vivid, and the information is primitive... It is like a capsule of time and space, condensing the ancient moment in front of our eyes, as if opening a window for us to glimpse the ancient world.

The exhibition is also equipped with augmented reality (AR) intelligent tour glasses, wearing glasses to observe the selected 12 representative collections, the star animals in amber will automatically "activate", and the scenes of changes in the global environment have struck, bringing a wonderful natural experience to the audience.

The exhibition is divided into five parts: the prologue hall, the natural gift, the time capsule, the natural beauty and the tail hall.
