Take the lead in setting an example and be the leader of volunteerism
In December 2016, Ding Meijiao took the lead in establishing the first volunteer service team established in the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, the Shanglou Village Volunteer Service Team, which currently has 165 members. As the leader of the Volunteer Service Team, she and community workers conducted many trainings for the volunteers, shared the operation mode of the Taiwan Volunteer Team and led the Volunteer Service Team to hold activities such as "Sending Warmth to the Elderly", "Eating with the Elderly", "Free Physical Examination for the Elderly", "Our Festival, Dragon Boat Festival", "99 Chongyang Festival, Strong Respect for the Elderly" and other activities.
During the epidemic prevention and control period, Ding Meijiao has always been on the front line of the epidemic, building a security defense line for the masses, and launching the "one branch and one fortress, one volunteer and one banner" to donate to Wuhan, in just one and a half days, a total of 175 party members and volunteers participated. Whether it is personnel platooning, epidemic prevention publicity, key control or closed management, Ding Meijiao always puts the masses first, leading the volunteers to rush to the front line and sink in the front line, showing the responsibility of the women.
At present, the volunteer service of shanglou village has been normalized and promoted in the whole district, and radiation has driven all villages to set up volunteer service teams, which has produced a good social impact.
Build a platform and be the promoter of Lantai exchanges
In the early years, Ding Meijiao went to Taiwan for exchanges, and she realized that behind the excellent living and human environment is the effort, and the key lies in changing the concept. "Whether it is the transformation of village dwellings or the garbage not landing, the concept must first be changed, and these practices and concepts must be accepted first." Ding Meijiao knows that the change of concept is not overnight, and it is a good way to carry out exchanges and learning.
Since 2016, Shanglou Village has signed letters of intent and cooperation with Xiayunli in Fuxing District, Taiwan, Jinxingli in Shigang District, and Fengzhenli in Fengyuan District. Since 2017, it has organized more than 100 people, including 6 batches of outstanding volunteer representatives from Shanglou Village, to go to Taiwan to deeply study the excellent experience of the governance mechanism, grass-roots culture, community and volunteer organization operation of townships and villages in Taiwan; 8 groups of Taiwan entrepreneurial youth have successively come to Shanglou Village to participate in experiential exchange programs, holding community visits and observations, highlight creation, discussion and exchange activities, and the grass-roots masses in Lantai have exchanged experiences and learned from the CCP's hometown conditions and enhanced understanding, deepening the friendship between the grass-roots level in Lantai. In 2018, Shanglou Village and the Taiwan youth team jointly created the "Loutai Association". Ding Meijiao used this as a platform to set up a "Building Platform Association" women's micro-home.
Take the initiative to integrate and be a participant in the beautiful countryside
Ding Meijiao led the volunteer service team to actively serve the construction of beautiful villages in Shanglou Village and actively integrate into the transformation of the "Taiwei" community in Shanglou Village. Nowadays, the "rural" appearance of Shanglou Village has undergone earth-shaking changes, and it has successively won the titles of "Provincial Civilized Village", "Provincial Five-star Rural Happy Community", "Fujian Provincial Grassroots Exchange Demonstration Point to Taiwan", "Provincial Beautiful Countryside Construction Demonstration Village", "Provincial Rural Style Civilization Contact Point", "Provincial Rural Governance Demonstration Point" and other titles.
She integrates her personal dreams and family dreams into rural dreams, actively pays and enthusiastically participates, giving the countryside visible green mountains and rivers and retained human feelings and nostalgia, so that Shanglou Village has become a beautiful scenery for rural revitalization.
