author:Bright Net

In the warm winter sun, the red and blue roof herders' housing houses are arranged under the Alatau Mountain, and the line extended by the branch line of the 10 kV Mo Second Team in Miliqige Village, ChaganTunge Township, Hot Spring County, Xinjiang, shines silver under the sun. Seven herders who have just been electrified have begun a new and happy life here.

Miliqig Village is a border village in Wenquan County, Xinjiang, separated from the Republic of Kazakhstan by only a mountain, and belongs to the summer grassland of the meadow grassland belt in front of the mountain. In the 1980s, the village was a stop in the nomadic life of herders, mainly nomadic in summer, and herding sheep, cattle and horses was the main channel for herders to increase their income.

"There is a family in our neighborhood, before there was no electricity in this place, the family used solar power, and the weather was bad and candles were lit." In November last year, the power supply company helped us to electrify, and now it is convenient, the lawn crusher, the lawn mower can be used, and any electrical appliances at home can be used. With the help of the state, our lives are getting better and better. On January 26, Kazakh herdsman Tokan Suleiman said happily.

The village of Milichig is a typical border pastoral village. In recent years, with the implementation of a series of policies for the settlement and pastoralism, 246 local herders have lived in the stable housing of herdsmen's settlements during the cold winter. However, because the herders live in a very scattered place, 7 herders are very far from the settlement, and the furthest herdsman, the Tokan Suleiman family, is nearly 20 kilometers away, and has not been connected to the big network.

In 2021, the State Grid Bortala Power Supply Company implemented the rural network transformation and upgrading project, invested 1.8942 million yuan to build a new transmission line, connected 7 herders to a large network of electricity, and solved the problem that 7 herders could not extend the power supply through the low-voltage platform area.

Tokan Sulaiman's family consists of 6 people, with 260 sheep and more than 30 cattle. Immediately after the electricity was electrified, Tokan Suleiman purchased a lawn crusher, and the electrified farming method brought great convenience to his life.

"Before the snow falls in winter, we drive the cattle and sheep to the cornfield to raise them, and after the snow, we break the hay made of the stored corn stalks and feed them to the cattle and sheep. A bale of hay is about 15 kilograms, and our family can use about 300 bales of hay this winter. In the past, diesel lawn mowers were used without electricity, and the cost was more than twice as expensive as that of electricity. Tokan Suleiman said.

Soon for the Spring Festival, the Mongolian herdsmen Uzhigesili family, which is 10 kilometers away from the Tokan Sulaiman family, are happily preparing various New Year goods. Seeing Hao Shoujiang and Zhang Zelin, members of the party member service team who had come to conduct the line inspection, Uzigsyli warmly welcomed them into his home.

UzhiGesili is a border guard, and after the electricity is turned on, he renovates his home and adds home appliances such as intelligent induction hoods, electric frying pans, and refrigerators.

With the help of the state, the Uzhigesili family can not only earn money by herding, but the work of the border guards has given their family a double guarantee.

At this time, her lover Bayinhua was frying special snack steamed buns in the neat kitchen, and Uzigsili, Hao Shoujiang and Zhang Zelin sat cross-legged on the carpet full of ethnic colors, chatting about the changes in life after the electricity was energized, while tasting Mongolian milk tea and freshly made steamed buns. By the window of the living room hangs a blue hada symbolizing purity, holiness, beauty and auspiciousness, and happiness fills the whole room.

"The power supply company solves the problem of herdsmen's electricity, which brings great convenience to the people and brings great changes to the lives of these 7 herdsmen." We are grateful to the power supply company for their help. Wuyun Gaowa, secretary of the party branch of Milichig Village, said.

Located in the northwestern border of Xinjiang and adjacent to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Xinjiang Hot Spring County is an area dominated by agriculture and animal husbandry and multi-ethnic integration, with 6.01 million mu of grassland and 1.514 million mu of forest, with rich agricultural and animal husbandry resources.

The herders who live here basically end their nomadic life every November, return to the herder settlements under the mountain, and return to the mountain again after the spring flowers bloom in May of the following year.

In 2021, the State Grid Bortala Power Supply Company will increase the construction of rural power grids, comprehensively deal with the problems of rural electricity security and reliability of power supply, improve the quality of power supply, improve the ability to serve the construction of the new socialist countryside, extend through the end of the line, improve the coverage of the line, and solve the problem of electricity difficulties for herdsmen in remote areas.

At present, Wenquan County has achieved full coverage of border power supply. After the transformation and upgrading of the rural network, a total of 21 scattered herders in Bozhou completely got rid of the "no electricity households". (Zhu Tong)
