The Telegraph: Porto lowered the asking price in negotiations with Tottenham, and Liverpool re-pursued Dias

Liverpool have already bid Porto £37.5 million for Luis Díaz and hope to sign the Colombian player in the winter window, according to the Telegraph.

Díaz moved to Porto in 2019, contributing 16 goals and six assists in 28 appearances this season.

Liverpool had previously made an offer, but Porto had priced Díaz at £60 million, which discouraged Liverpool. Later, Porto lowered their offer in negotiations with Tottenham, and Dias can now choose between Tottenham and Liverpool, while Liverpool's league position and Champions League seat will help them gain the upper hand.

If Díaz joins Liverpool, fringe players such as Origi and Takushi Minamino could leave.
