The origin of the "Five Heads"

All those who have been to the liquor bureau have heard the sound of liquor orders such as "five leaders", "six six six", "seven finches", "eight horses" and so on. The liquor practice during the fist stroke has been around for a long time, and the "Five KuiShou" is also related to the Yongle Emperor.

According to legend, after the Yongle Emperor Zhu Di of the Ming Dynasty presided over the compilation and revision of the Yongle Canon, he was often complacent and thought that he was the number one learned person in the world. Therefore, he always wanted to show his talent, and once, on a whim, he took the opportunity of the national talent to go to the capital to take the exam, changed his name, and disguised himself as an examiner and mixed into the examination room.

He thought he could win the first place, but he didn't expect to get a fifth place when he made the list, and he was very angry and ran to ask the chief examiner. The examiner said with a disdainful face, "This fifth place is still barely a mile." He looked up and looked closely, Oh my God, it was actually the current emperor, which frightened him so much that he "pounced" and fell to his knees, prostrating his head and begging for forgiveness. Zhu Di thought to himself: The golden list has been out, now kill the chief examiner, after passing it out, his face will be even more dull, just spare him. So, with a look of displeasure on his face, he left without saying a word. However, the chief examiner could not rest assured, and the emperor could not afford to offend! So he added a note to the list: "The fifth is the leader of the top four." This matter spread to the people and became a joke of the people. Later, people drank wine to guess the order of boxing, and also jokingly called "the five leaders".

This origin is spread among the people, but there is no clear evidence to follow. In fact, "Five Kuishou" is the abbreviation of "Five Classics Kuishou", which refers to the five classic works of "Poetry", "Book", "Yi", "Li" and "Spring and Autumn", and readers read these five works painstakingly to seek merit and win the first prize. In the Ming Dynasty, the examination of these five subjects, the first name of each subject is "Jing Kui", the top 5 of each subject, commonly known as "Five Kui".

Kui means the first. The folk legend of "Kui" refers to "the foot of the ghost turns right like kicking the Big Dipper". Kui, or the name of a star, Kui Xing, also known as Kui Xing, is one of the twenty-eight stars, the main hand of the literary fortune. Readers believe in this star very much, it is said that "Kui Xing Dot Fighting, dominate the head", many candidates will go to the Kui Xing Lou and Kui Xing Hall all over the country to pray, and when the exam will also bring a clay sculpture of the small Kui Star, or paste the image of the Kui Star in front of the seat, in the hope that the Kui Star will be blessed and the title of the gold list.
