  Guo Wei: 2021 is a challenging year for Poly. In fact, there are many words that can describe the challenges of this year, such as mixed office, home isolation, smart cloudification and so on. I think these words will have a particularly large impact on our work-study life in the coming period.

  Tianji.com: In the past 2021, what changes in the industry represent behind the annual keywords you summarized? What opportunities and challenges do these changes mean for Poly?

  Guo Wei: The epidemic has been around for nearly two years, and now it is defined as a post-epidemic era, and our life, work and study have undergone a deepening change.

  In fact, Poly has also undergone particularly big changes in the past two years, from the very beginning of the merger of Plantronics and Poly; From a solution provider for pure conference room audio and video interaction, it has evolved into an end-to-end audio and video technology service provider.

  It turns out that we may pay more attention to how to achieve a better effect in the limited enterprise conference room space, so that the interaction between two venues or multiple venues is more efficient and of better quality. Now the environment is not as simple and pure as before, in the process of home isolation or mobile work, environmental factors have become more complex, may be outdoors, may be in the case of all family members are at home, open a very important meeting, how to ensure the quality of video and audio, is Poly's focus on the work.

  Guo Wei: There are many things I want to share, such as in the initial stage of the epidemic, Poly, as a company that provides audio and video technology, provided a guarantee for remote and on-site audio and video interaction in the construction of hospitals in Leishen Mountain and Vulcan Mountain.

  In addition, many enterprises have taken some behaviors of reducing staff, laying off employees and increasing efficiency because they cannot go to the office. In this process, Poly communicates with IT managers and business managers, using a number of means to make a lot of work possible remotely.

  The remote support model has also helped many companies solve the problem of mixed labor positions and positions during the epidemic or special period.

Therefore, for the classification of employees, it is also a challenge for Poly, we need to effectively support different employees, how to cope with their own normal work in the process.

  At the same time, we already have certain solutions to some problems faced by many industries, but how to let them get these support and support, how to let them know our products, is also a big challenge we face in this process. Poly is a technology company that provides audio and video technology solutions, but audio and video technology solutions are not like other products, it is easier to use words to show, it is an experiential technology, we hope that users can really experience and experience. For example, we use some high-tech algorithms to do face recognition and tracking, but the final effect, time is not able to meet the needs of enterprises, may be more often after the experience, can have a personal feeling, which requires inviting users to the scene.

  During the pandemic, this is also a big challenge, that is, we can't effectively show our products. So we also use a lot of virtualization means, our experience video, test video, through the cloud to let our users have a deeper understanding.

  We hope that users will give us some effective feedback after learning about it. In fact, this kind of challenge is difficult to collect in a special period, we can release our technology and products in a one-way way, but the way to really get feedback from users is very limited, so this interaction is also a relatively large problem we face.

  But now combined with the cloud, digitalization, 5G, it really helps us to make effective improvements in this regard, I believe that in the future, combined with these technologies, and even the concept of meta-universe, can more effectively combine some virtualization scenarios, the technical and communication challenges, effectively blocked.

As a leader in the field of audio and video, Poly has actually empowered many technologies in artificial intelligence and combined with the virtualization technology of the core of the meta-universe.
