A nursing home made a calendar where elderly people posed in a series of photographs recreating classic works of art, such as Frida Carlo's Self-Portrait of the Necklace of Thorns and Hummingbirds. The photos are amazing! (See accompanying picture)

The team at the Oxfordshire Nursing Home in the UK created the 2022 calendar with the help of seniors.

Volunteer Rebecca Philipson was responsible for taking and editing the photos.

These calendars will be sold for £12 and can be purchased at the hotel reception.

Andrew Reese, 57, who landed on the cover of the calendar, said: "I really like the style of my photos and it's really fun to be involved. I used tablecloths and coats for my costumes and I really enjoyed being one of them a second time. ”

Victoria Davidson, the event coordinator, said: "I was very impressed with the effect of the photos. The seniors who volunteered for the project were so excited that they couldn't wait to see how the photos worked. She said.

"We often use our own equipment in the house to make props and costumes, which is something we all love very much." She added.

"People were very interested in the photos, so we decided to put them in the reception area and whenever someone passed by, they would stop and take a look."
