Song Qingling was born in Shanghai on January 27, 1893. Soong Ching Ling studied in the United States as a teenager, and after returning to China, he married Sun Yat-sen in 1915 and became Sun Yat-sen's close comrade-in-arms and right-hand man. She always adhered to the just revolutionary stand, opposed the Kuomintang reactionaries, and actively participated in the international anti-imperialist movement.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Song Qingling was successively elected as vice chairman of the Central People's Government, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, vice president of the People's Republic of China and other important leading positions, making indelible contributions to new China.
