Seinfeld actress Catherine Kate died at the age of 73

According to the Hollywood Reporter, veteran actress Kathryn Kates died peacefully last Saturday at the age of 73, accompanied by her family and loved ones, after a recurrence of lung cancer. Kate has starred in films and television titles such as Seinfeld, Newark Saints, and Women's Prison.

As a founding member of colonial theatre, Kate has starred in films and TV series for the past 40 years. One of her most popular roles was played by Schnitzer's Deli counter waitress in the 90s sitcom Seinfeld.

She has also appeared in other popular TV series such as Defense Lawyer, Extralegal Tenderness, Battle of the Bones, Souls of the Guard, and Law & Order: Special Victims.

"Women's Prison"

In recent years, Catherine Caters has been known as the mother who played the role of Jason Biggs in the Netflix hit TV series "Women's Prison." She also starred in the 2019 Murder of the Green Toe spin-off film "Jesus Swing", self-directed and starred by John Te toro.

One of her most famous roles was played by Angie DeCarlo in last year's HBO hit "The Sopranos" prequel film Newark. Kate's last role was in the development of an episode on Apple TV+, in which she and her old friend and actor Judd Hirsch played opposite each other.
