Luo Dong, also known as Luo Haijun, pen name Runchen, Zi Hansheng, a native of Huai'an, Jiangsu, a member of the China Democratic League, a national first-class artist, studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, under the tutelage of Huo Chunyang, Liu Zhenlin, and Meng Qingfeng.

Luo Dong is currently a member of the Huo Chunyang Traditional Art Research Association, the vice president of the China Hanlin Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, the vice chairman of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association, the member of the Hong Kong Federation of Artists Association, the vice president of the China Guantian Calligraphy and Painting Institute, the senior creator of the China Local Art Association of the Ministry of Culture, the member of the Huai'an Calligraphers Association, and the vice chairman of the Huaiyin District Literary and Art Association.
