Ren Ziwei and Wu Dajing lead the Chinese short track team in the Winter Olympics list Lin Xiaoxiao is not among them

Live bar On January 27, the Beijing Winter Olympics media information service system shows that the list of Chinese short track speed skating teams has been determined, Ren Ziwei and Wu Dajing will play in the ranks, and South Korea's former Winter Olympic champion Lin Xiaoxiao, who trained with the Chinese team, is not listed.

According to this list, Wu Dajing, Ren Ziwei, Sun Long, Li Wenlong and Zhang Tianyi formed a men's team; the women's team consisted of Zhang Yuting, Fan Kexin, Qu Chunyu, Zhang Chutong and Han Yutong.

The Winter Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sport issued a notice on December 23 last year that in view of the fact that Wu Dajing and Ren Ziwei had won the 2021-2022 short track speed skating World Cup sub-station championships, after research, the two were qualified for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and the rest of the athletes were determined through the Winter Olympics selection tournament ending on January 15, 2022. However, the Winter Sports Management Center has not officially announced the results of the selection competition and the list of Chinese teams. Lin Xiaoxiao trained with the Chinese team last year and also appeared in the selection competition, but this time he did not appear in the list of Chinese teams provided by the media information service system of the Beijing Winter Olympics.

In the four races of this season's Short Track Speed Skating World Cup, Ren Ziwei performed well, with gold medals in each station, including two times on the top podium in the 1500 meters. As the gold medalist of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Wu Dajing also recovered in form in the last stop and won the main 500 meters championship.

The short track speed skating team is the well-deserved "ace division" of The Chinese winter sports team, and the short track speed skating team contributed 10 of the 13 gold medals won by the Chinese team in the previous Winter Olympics. Since Yang Yang achieved a "zero breakthrough" in gold medals at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, the Chinese short track speed skating team has had gold medals in every Winter Olympics.

The first gold medal in the short track speed skating competition of the Beijing Winter Olympics will be produced on the evening of February 5, and the event is also the strongest mixed 2000-meter relay of the Chinese team as a whole. In the four World Cup matches of the 2021-2022 season, the Chinese team won two golds, one silver and one bronze in the mixed relay competition.
