US) and U.S. electric commercial vehicle maker VIA Motors announced that it will host a panel discussion on the future of last-mile electric vehicle fleets at the Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) Summit. BNEF is scheduled to take place in San Francisco from January 31 to February 1, 2022.
At the summit, Merit Interactive executives will highlight their commercial electrification products, including automotive, charging and hydrogen solutions, at three events.
It is reported that at the end of August last year, Advantage Interactive announced that it had reached an agreement to acquire VIA Motors, which will acquire a 100% controlling interest in VIA in a full-stock transaction. It is understood that VIA, headquartered in Orem, Utah, will produce electric commercial vehicles in the future, including Class 2 to Class 5 vans, trucks and buses. The company has extensive experience in the automotive electrification market and continues to develop business relationships with commercial fleets and dealers in the United States, Canada and Mexico. VIA is also working with an autonomous driving technology company to provide electrification services for short- and mid-mile self-driving trucks.
