According to the Songjiang District Procuratorate, one evening in mid-May, a birdcage fell from the sky on the sidewalk of a community in Songjiang District, which really frightened nearby pedestrians. Because the thrower could not be found, soon some residents of the community chose to call the police.
The police quickly identified Chen Mou, the owner of the 10th floor, as a suspect involved. After arriving at the case, Chen confessed that he saw that there were melon seed shells, vegetable leaves and other things in the bird cage when he was resting at home, so he took the bird cage to the balcony to clean up, and in the process of stretching the bird cage out of the window to shake off the garbage, the bird pecked his finger, because he drank some liquor before, Chen was a bit "on the head", and in one breath, the caged bird was thrown out of the 10th floor window, and the bird was thrown to death on the spot, fortunately there was no casualty.

After investigation, the bird cage fell at a community traffic fortress, there are basketball courts and children's play facilities nearby, and the students have been out of school at the time of the crime, and it is in the rush hour, the flow of people is relatively large, and the bird cage itself is made of stainless steel, weighing up to 4 pounds, and it will produce great lethality when landing, and the plot is serious.
Recently, the Songjiang District Procuratorate approved the arrest of Chen on suspicion of the crime of throwing objects from a high altitude.
Prosecutors reminded that high-altitude projectiles are not only uncivilized, but also cause safety hazards, and in the case that the person responsible for high-altitude projectiles can be determined and the responsible person has subjective guilt for the possible results, high-altitude projectiles will be investigated for criminal liability. Therefore, it is recommended that the management units such as residential properties and neighborhood committees regularly inspect high-rise buildings and actively publicize safety education to residents. Residents should immediately call the police if they encounter high-altitude projectiles, look for witnesses, and actively protect their legitimate rights and interests.
