The dilemma of post-90s players: the giants are still unannounced, and the post-00s have risen

The three giants of tennis Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have joined forces to destroy the grand slam dream of post-80s players.

In the era of the Big Three, there are only a few players who can win a Grand Slam title.

With Federer plagued by injuries, Nadal's slow pace, and only one Djokovic giant mountain, half of the post-90s players are close to retirement, leaving 4-5 new kings, including Thiem, Medvedev, Zverev Jr., Tsitsipas and Beretini.

The giants are still going on

Since winning the Australian Open in 2018, Federer has grown farther and farther away from the Grand Slam title.

But Nadal and Djokovic have always stood firm, defending the dignity of the giants. After the Grand Slam, Nadal took 5, Djokovic exaggerated took 8, they only let 2 Grand Slams fall aside, 2020 US Open (Thiem), 2021 US Open (Medvedev), of which the 2020 US Open was still won in the case of Nadal did not participate, Deyo was directly sentenced out.

Medvedev is the first post-90s man to step on the giants to win a Grand Slam title. In the Australian Open final four, the new generation of kings occupy 3 seats - Medvedev, Tsitsipas and Berrettini.

The other is the only giant to participate, Nadal, who is in a low form at the Australian Open and is likely to reach the final.

If Djokovic can participate, the pattern is likely to be giants VS new kings. Berrettini is likely to be able to complete four consecutive grand slam sweeps by Djokovic, and he has lost all four of his matches against Djokovic.

The post-00s generation has risen

The new generation of kings after the 90s has just picked up, and there are 2 Grand Slams in the account, but the post-00s players have quietly risen.

The post-00s players are represented by Shapovalov (99 years, barely counted), Aliassim (00 years), Sina (01 years), Alcaraz (03 years), if you think they are still too young and naïve, then you are underestimating them.

This year's Australian Open, their results are very good and stable, and they all have wonderful performances. They occupied three places in the men's singles quarterfinals (Shapovalov, Sina, Aliasim) and Alcaraz also reached the round of 32. Among them, Shapovalov eliminated Zverev 3-0, losing Nadal in five sets; Aliyassim almost upset Medvedev in five sets; Alcaraz nearly upset Beretini in five sets; only Sina lost 3-0 against Tsitsipas.

From the technical level, they are enough to compete with the new generation of kings and the big three, but the actual combat experience is small, the psychological quality is not strong enough, I believe that through continuous competition, they will soon be able to touch the final four or finals of the Grand Slam.

Where is the third Grand Slam of the post-90s new generation?

There are wolves before there are tigers, and there is not much time left for the new generation of kings after the 90s.

Thiem has not played particularly well since winning the 2020 US Open; Zverev Jr., although winning the Olympic men's singles gold medal and the year-end finals, has fluctuated too much in the Grand Slam; Tsitsipas has enough strength in clay; Medvedev has proved his kingship on the hard ground, but the clay and grass are still weak.

The third Grand Slam is most likely Medvedev's Australian Open or US Open; followed by Tsitsipas and Thiem's French Open; and finally Zverev Jr.'s Australian Open or US Open, Beretini's Wimbledon.
