What everyone did not expect was that Hideyoshi had already discovered the true identity of the murderer and went to persuade the murderer to surrender himself, but was kidnapped by the murderer. This murderer is really the wrong person, Hideyoshi's eldest brother Shuichi Akai is an FBI, his mother Mary is MI6, and his sister Seira Makoto is a detective... What bad luck.
On the other hand, Yumi was unable to contact Hideyoshi for a long time, and Conan did not know Hideyoshi's whereabouts, so he called Hideyoshi in a hurry, and Yusaku Kudo listened to Conan's narration of the case and quickly deduced the truth of the case. After that, Conan and Shuichi rush to rescue Hideyoshi, who also communicates his location by playing blind chess with the murderer. The case begins with a misunderstanding between Yumi and Hideyoshi, introducing the murder of a shogi player.
