The POST: Jesse Lingard's loan may have failed, and Newcastle is reluctant to pay more than £15 million

According to the Daily Mail, Lingard's loan deal from Manchester United to Newcastle is in danger of collapsing, and the two clubs have failed to agree on terms.

It is understood that in addition to Jesse Lingard's weekly salary of £100,000, if Newcastle is successful in relegation, they will also need to pay bonus terms, so that coupled with the original loan fees, Newcastle may need to pay more than £15 million, which they are not willing to do.

Manchester United have rejected offers from Tottenham and West Ham as they are direct opponents of the Red Devils. Everton also expressed interest, but there has been friction between the Glazer family and Mosili after Manchester United cancelled a trade between Romero and Van der Beek.

Jesse Lingard is looking to get a chance to play and is desperate to return to England for the World Cup, and he still wants to join Newcastle. He was successful on loan at West Ham last year and took his own fate, but there haven't been many opportunities at Manchester United this season.
