Qianjiang District regards sericulture as an industry that effectively links poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, and through the model of company + base + cooperative + large household + farmer, it has developed sericulture into a pillar industry for increasing local economic income and farmers to get rid of poverty and become rich, becoming the largest sericulture planting base in Chongqing, and has been identified by the State Forestry and Grassland Administration as the only sericulture biological industry base in China.
This year, the district has planted more than 10,000 mu of sericulture, and the total area of sericulture in the whole district has exceeded 100,000 mu, and it is expected that the comprehensive income of sericulture farmers will increase by a certain extent on the basis of 200 million yuan last year.
