Wang Dawen: Born in 1942, a native of Anhui Ethnicity. She is the proud female disciple of Cheng Shifa, Tang Yun, and Mr. Qian Slender Tiesan. Good at writing characters, but also good at flowers and birds. In 1964, he graduated from the Shanghai Academy of Chinese Painting and stayed in the academy as a creator (painter). He is a member of the Shanghai Artists Association. The works have been auctioned 10 times by the world-famous Sulsby and Christie's auction houses.
His works have participated in the 1973 and 1975 Beijing National Art Exhibitions, as well as various other regional exhibitions, and have been exhibited in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and other places.

Born in Shanghai to a family of scholars, her mother grew up painting and publishing articles in newspapers, and she studied at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. His father was also an out-and-out painting fan, and he had a close relationship with the great painters Tang Yun, Qian Shantie, Fan Shaoyun and others.
Under the influence of such a family and calligraphy and painting, Wang Dawen naturally picked up the paintbrush when she was a child, and she successively studied painting with two teachers, Qian Shuangtie and Tang Yun, the famous painters, who were also her father's friends, the former teaching Wang Dawen the art of landscape painting, and the latter instructing him in painting flowers and birds.
After studying, Wang Dawen, with his unique artistic talent, was fortunate to be selected for further study in the Children's Palace. She is always immersed in the world of sketching, sketching and color, and has changed the style of painting only traditional themes in the past, and used her own color brush to paint a large number of theme paintings reflecting the growth and life of children in New China and the new era. What makes Wang Dawen most proud is that she was "scribbling" at that time, and even gave it as a gift to celebrities such as Panchen Lama and Sukarno.
2 ． Befriend a benefactor
After the founding of New China, in order to concentrate on cultivating the successors of the first generation of traditional Chinese painting in New China, the newly established Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy adopted the traditional method of "master leading apprentices" to learn the art of traditional Chinese painting. It was Wang Dawen, who was in her cardamom years, who was caught in the eye with her outstanding painting skills, and was fortunate to enter the painting academy, and her teaching teacher was Mr. Cheng Shifa, a master of a generation.
Wang Dawen recalled that he did not expect to have such a deep relationship with the teacher, and he had long regarded the teacher as a loving father... This is exactly the case, Wang Dawen accompanied his mentor for 48 years in the Spring and Autumn Period.
3 ． Take your son to the United States
Since 1981, the policy of studying abroad at her own expense has been liberalized, and a friend at the visa office informed Wang Dawen of the news that was not known at the time at the first time, and the friend suggested that she send Gu Gu to the United States to study, but the child is still young and must be accompanied by a family member to be signed.
This suggestion obviously greatly moved Wang Dawen, who was interested in seeking a breakthrough, so Wang Dawen, who was over 40 years old, left the mainland with his son who was less than 10 years old and flew to the United States on the other side of the ocean, starting a new beginning in a foreign country.
"I've been in the United States for so many years, and I'm lucky I've never left Chinese painting." Recalling those years, Wang Dawen said, "I did not wash dishes for a day, nor did I work as a nanny, but I was able to finally enter the door of the 'American social circle' with chinese paintings," Wang said.
4 ． Went to Hong Kong with his son
In the 1990s, Wang Dawen could not be satisfied with the success achieved in the United States, and after graduation, his son entered the Hong Kong branch of a foreign bank and started his own life, so that Wang Dawen accompanied his son to Settle in Hong Kong and once again began a new exploration in this strange land.
While many Hong Kongers emigrated overseas in 1997, Wang Dawen, who moved to Hong Kong from the United States, actively held his own solo exhibition, "Gentleman's Wind".
5 ． Back to square one
In 2004, Wang Dawen and Gu Gu resolutely left the suite apartment in the "Queens" of the wealthy district of New York and the Mid-Levels Villa in Hong Kong, and wandered outside for 24 years, and finally returned to their hometown - Shanghai.
His son Gu Gu was tireless in becoming an excellent returnee, while Wang Dawen owned a rather spacious studio "Shenshixuan" on the banks of the Suzhou River in the Mother River, recalling various experiences in the past, Wang Dawen had a different understanding with his son: "Back to the starting point, we have found our roots." ”
Back in Shanghai, in addition to reuniting with his family, Wang Dawen's most worried about his heart is his mentor Cheng Shifa, who often reminisces about the funny things of the past with his mentor and recounts the past like smoke. In July 2007, after the death of his mentor Cheng Shifa, Wang Dawen wrote a final farewell to himself and master's 48-year pen and ink karma with tears in his eyes...
Now that this female painter who was quite famous in the maritime painting world at that time is full of flowers, Wang Dawen still can't put aside his favorite brushstroke, for the future, Wang Dawen is full of confidence, "The circle of my life started from Shanghai, passed through New York, Hong Kong, and at this age, it is also time to settle down and enjoy the blessings."
