Hello everyone, I'm in Alaska with glasses and a microphone, tablet.
When you think of Mexican cinema, what works come to mind?
Is it Gilmo del Toro's magical realist masterpiece "Pan's Labyrinth", known as the "Gyro"?

Or Alfonso Caron's "Gravity" rushing into the universe?
Or did Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu help Little Plum win the Oscar for "The Revenant"?
If nothing else, the three directors mentioned above alone, the Oscar trophies they have each won, can be 3 meters high.
Otherwise, fans will call them "Mexican Three Masters".
Mexican cinema has always had a unique position in the world film industry.
So I've always been in awe of Mexican film and television.
The other day, I happened to see a new movie from mexico called New Order.
I was shocked.
Mexican movies play inversion, have you played to this point?
Although now all the film and television works with a suspense theme are flaunted how many times they have reversed.
But some are really reversed, and some are completely predictable routines.
The rollercoaster plot of the first few seasons of "Game of Thrones", the cliff-like experience of the protagonist saying that death is dead, is difficult to encounter.
This time I finally saw it again in The New Order.
The story of The New Order takes place in a parallel world.
In this world of Mexico, the gap between rich and poor is huge, and the military and government are in power.
One day, a wealthy family was having a wedding, and the people who came to attend were all high-class people.
The bride at the wedding is a very kind girl.
She grew up in a wealthy family, with no worries about food and clothing.
This wedding is the most important thing in her life at present, but the intertwining and fake appearance of the wedding make her physically and mentally exhausted.
Weddings take place in palatial villas, the heart of the city's wealthy district.
A few streets away from the villa, a riot was taking place in the city.
The rioters are all low-level people, who have burned and looted all the way and have approached the rich areas.
But even if the rich people knew the news, the wedding would not stop.
Because based on past experience, the junta will send troops to suppress riots and protect the rich.
Moreover, the rich also have a bunch of bodyguards at home, and at the critical moment, they will shoot.
When the wedding was going on, the mob had not yet come to the door, and an old man came first.
He was not a mob, just an ordinary poor mass.
The old man had worked in the villa for many years, because his wife was ill, and came to take advantage of the former owner's family to do a happy event and borrow some money.
But the rich family treated the old man very coldly.
They all felt that the old man was greedily asking for it.
Only the bride was really worried about the old man's wife, and even offered to visit the old man's home.
The old man's wife also worked as a servant in a rich man's house and had a good relationship with the bride.
The bride was concerned about the chaos, and actually only let a little brother protect her, and she really went out.
The two people just left on the front foot, and the audience was most worried about the thing happened-
The mob really broke into the rich area and quickly stormed the villa.
They are real knives and guns, and they will kill them when they enter the villa.
The rich immediately made a mess.
The mob began to loot the property in the villa, and the usually well-behaved servants joined in.
The whole rich area has become a paradise for thugs and poor people to plunder.
Somehow, the military did not intervene to stop the riot, but allowed it to spread.
At this time, the bride, who was outside the villa, was also surrounded by thugs on the street.
The car was sprayed green by thugs
In order not to let the bride be killed, the brother covered all the way, or successfully sent the bride to the old man's home.
The old man was temporarily safe, and the bride stayed with the sick old man for a while, comforting her to take care of her body.
But now the bride is also difficult to protect herself, she can't go back to the villa, going out is a death, can only temporarily hide here.
That night, riots in the streets continued.
There was roaring, screaming, and fire everywhere.
In the midst of this chaos, the bride went to sleep.
The next day, the streets stopped, and the soldiers finally came to suppress the rebellion.
The bride was also taken over by the military.
Now the bride can breathe a sigh of relief.
At the very least, she should be able to be sent home by the military.
In the truck escorting her, the bride also wanted to call home to ask about the situation.
But the phone has no signal.
The soldier who was supposed to escort her suddenly asked the bride to take off her jewelry and hand over her valuables.
Both the bride and the audience realized something was wrong when the car had stopped.
The soldiers brushed the bride's hair and put her in a prison.
Don't talk about the bride, I look stupid.
Is this a soldier also rebelled?
But in the flashing shots in front of it, it is clear that the military took the initiative to attack and countered the rebellion.
In prison, there are many rich families who, like the bride, have survived.
They were all treated arbitrarily by the soldiers, and each of them was numbered and made prisoners.
After the numbering, the soldiers did the beast thing.
They actually raped all the women in prison.
After the rape, the soldiers forced everyone to take a video together.
The content of the video is to let all the rich families and families who are imprisoned report safety.
The military then used this to launch a large extortion.
In other words, some soldiers in the military are taking advantage of the chaos to carry out kidnappings and make black money.
In such a situation, what else can the bride do?
I can only endure in silence and wait for the family to send money.
But what she didn't know was that her family was basically dead, alive, and seriously ill in bed.
The bride's chances of escaping from this hell on earth are slim.
Her next fate made me heart-wrenching, heartbroken, dead-hearted.
In order not to spoil everyone's viewing effect, I will cheekily not spoil.
The story of "New Order", although it takes place in parallel time and space, its sense of reality is very strong.
This strong sense of reality lies in the fact that it depicts the greed and cruelty of human nature.
The unknown director of the film, Michelle Frank, is very noteworthy.
The New Order also won the Grand Jury Prize in Venice
He also walked this cruel wind in the highest-rated film "After Lucia".
When I saw this story in the end, I was completely shocked and unable to speak.
This time the film shows the real school bullying.
The protagonist is a girl whose mother died in a car accident and who took her to settle in a new city.
Unexpectedly, the seemingly friendly students in the new school have a dark side...
In the movie, the sense of presence that quietly watches the girl being constantly humiliated is suffocating.
Michelle Frank's other work, Chronic, has a stronger sense of suffocation.
Poster for the Korean version of Chronic
The male protagonist of "Chronic" is 1900 (Tim Ross) in "The Pianist at Sea".
He starred as a caregiver who specialized in caring for terminally ill patients.
The patients he cared for were either suffering from AIDS, strokes, or cancer.
Every patient is deeply involved in the pain caused by the disease.
As the caregiver of the protagonist, he takes every patient seriously, empathizes with them, and accompanies them in the most difficult moments.
In the movie, he will even euthanize patients who can't hold on and want to give up.
Of course, all he did was hidden from the patient's family.
Unexpectedly, his final fate did not lead to any inner salvation...
"Chronic" and "After Lucia" basically laid the foundation for director Michelle Frank's creative style.
He's the kind of absolute hard guy who puts a harsh reality in front of you and lets the character die in it for you to see.
The coldness of human nature shown in "The New Order" is a continuation of the director's creative style.
His typological approach proves that he is moving in a more popular direction.
I will continue to follow the Mexican film director and his work.
Finally, the old rule, if you are interested in the story of "New Order" and don't have time to brush up on the film, click to watch it.
After 3000 likes, I offered the commentary of this movie with both hands.
Who is your favorite Mexican director? Which of his movies do you like?

See you in the message area, bye bye.
